What abt Vaijantimala? She looked great in Black and White. But was looking just average in Sangam.

Looks wise both are beautiful, but personality wise that reflects on their faces I will go with Madhubala. Aishwariya has always reminded me of a beautiful mannequin.

Madhubala the more beautiful one. Her face simply lit up the screen. Her pics are full of warmth. She is the natural beauty, she may have imperfections, because she is natural. Nutan is said to have a perfect face; ratio of forehead to nose to chin and cheeks.

Aish looks beautiful but she is a structured beauty. Her face lacks warmth.

Like how people here mostly think the likes of Rani are better than the likes or Alia. Not because they genuinely think Rani is better than Alia. I don’t know if you are getting it. I myself am guilty of it at times so I can relate if people chose MB over Aish

I don't know whether the old actresses mentioned are better than the modern-day ones, but most of them certainly are better than Aish. The thing is some people choose Madhubala because they think she's more beatiful than Aish. It's as simple as that.

Madhubala was the conventional beauty of her time. In today's day and age she would come across masculine face wise. I have seen many people here complain that they failed to see her beauty. But she wins in polls against Aish because anyone would. Heck even someone as plain as Karishma almost won.

Let me be clear. Madhubala was an icon of her time and deserves all the respect in the world for that. Not only that but she was an impressive actress. But the conventional standards of beauty keep changing. Just like Marilyn Monroe was a bit healthier than most of the westerns conventional beauties of today. (Which was actually a good thing but the standard change)

Strictly face wise I think Aish wins. From her small defined face, to her gorgeous eyes, to her symmetrical features, there is yet to be a beauty in the modern era to be compared to her. I have actually lost all hope with the nepotism around.

I so agree with this post.

How can you be so cocksure on other's opinions being biased and not yours?

If at all the actresses of older generations have massive disadvantages. Aaj ke actress ke paas plastic surgery hai, fillers hain, filters hain, Photoshop hai, better photography and cinematography hai, trainers hain, dedicated teams of people to make them good, marketing, falana dhimkaana.

Despite this paraphernalia Madhubala, in my opinion (and it appears there are others that share this) beats Aish by a good margin.

Couldn't agree more. Especially on lighting up the screen. Her smile was absolutely enamoring.
