ummm......everyone agrees that none(either celeb or common people) should get this much of hate and negativity in their life which can lead to depression and suicide. but how many of us practice what we are agreeing in this very thread. wo dekhna hai?

SM hatemongers only know two ways. post hate comments on celebs till they commit suicide and then post a simple RIP.......phir shuru karo. but no middle way. if someone questions their(SM hatemongers) deeds, readymade answer milega 'they are celebs and do come under criticism radar. if they cant stand the heat, they should get out of the kitchen. simple'

what happened to k-pop singer is very sad.

I see some comments here about these artists which.. anyway.

The thing is if you don't know about something you don't speak. Making assumption through your comments, presenting it as if it's some truth it's lead others who doesn't know them to assume as well.

Sulli, Jonghyun & the reason why they are no more are prime example of how toxic SNS are, where even a 12 year idiot acts like know it all, spread rumours, sexually harass artists, talk shit about their looks to preach what should they do,how should they behave etc.

Sulli got hate comments not because what she posted in her SNS but we,general public who are quick to judge, to prove how our fav is better than others, think we own them.

Those were basically haters who harassed her no matter what she did or say, what she wore & what not.

Same with Jonghyun,he was for God sake an amazing vocalist but assumptions, nasty comments led him into depression, he fought but guess it was too much for him.

Same with many idols, actors. Just because someone is accused of something doesn't mean he has actually done that. K-netzare merciless but International fans are no less toxic.

If these companies are overworking them, these so-called fans, antis are taking a toll on their mind.

For example- Kai & Baekhyun from EXO are literally being bashed (some even telling them to die) just 'coz these members got choosen for Super M.

So, this "we own idols, they should do what we want to" mentality need to change.

I hope legal action is taken against these bunch of trolls/haters/antis.

Jonghyun and Sulli's situation were not similar at all. Jonghyun was liked by both Knetz and Ifans especially after he was vocal on his support for LGBT. Jonghyun had insomnia and also suffered from seasonal affective disorder. His issue was way more complex than just hate comments by netizens. I agree with rest of your post.

I didn't say the reasons being same in every way but to a great extent, yes. Not necessarily it just hate comments that led them towards depression but their day to day life's struggle, not getting to do what they want to, open up or not being able to live their life the way they want & then these nameless/faceless ids, detecting their lives, cursing them no matter what they do, does makes it hard gor themto ignore or in some cases, they can never get out of them.

He was a successful soloist, was loved yet had to take such a decision, if taking such a step is hard, for someone who has suffered from depression, can tell how much it was hard for him/them to stay alive like a dead body with no motivation or hope, with no help. (His doctor was another jackass)

If you has seen this video, I'm sure you'd know how it was actually for him.

https://youtu.be/TqMIZxw5tFA

He was/still is loved but it takes these very people drop their love & hate on them, a mere second & simple tweet or RT to ruin their hard work, reputation.

I'm still not over his incident & what happened to Sulli, I can safely say she didn't take her life but was forced to.

There's so much one can take but these people never learned & I doubt they'd ever.

All I can pray, these idols stay away n safe from this toxic minds & it's high time, the companies pay need to their artist's mental health & do something about online trolls.

online people should stop bullying normal non celebrities first, I blocked so many people from my twitter posting hateful comments just because I posted something about a celebrity. They are entertainers. If I was a celebrity I would've had assistant reading comments for me, telling me only positive comments

I guess that's where we go wrong. Celebs or non celebs, everyone is human. We make mistake, we get over it, we feel sorry or if the act is punishable, a threat to society, offender should be punished.

Just b'coz someone isn't a celeb, they can use 'freedom of speech' however way they want & just 'coz someone is celeb, they should always have to suffer extreme hateful comment 'coz they're public figures & public can n will judge that's BS.

Rules are & should be same for everyone despite the status. If you don't like to hear something that can probably hurt you, you shouldn't say that to someone else. It's pretty simple.

Honestly I don't know who this pop artist is, the only asian industry I follow is Indian. But it's sad what happened to this pop artist. Even Michael Jackson overdose on meds because of pressure and negative press from society. It's sad

I watched this video when it was first posted online. That time I only thought that he was primarily referring to the scrutiny idols have to face when expressing themselves . Now that I look at this video after all these years it makes me realize that I overlooked how much he was probably suffering 😔.
