Not Rana but Prabhas is actually bigger star in Telugu states when compared to Hrithik in bolly.

Haan. Hrithik began with a dream debut but lost the plot in between. He rose back every 3-4 years with a big hit and is probably the only one who challenged and even beat the khan's at the prime but still cause of his insane breaks has never really reached his potential stardom. Now he finally has a very strong chance though. Prabhas on the other hand was always consistent when it comes to stardom in the telugu states. Ironically his biggest break between movies came with Baahubali which proved to be fruitful for him. Mahesh babu is someone who I can compare with Hrithik in bolly.

I am not sure if he actually said it or if he was misquoted. But if he really wishes to fictionalise Rama and make him a grey character then he can surely forget making Ramayana.
