Criticism against Ranbr not justified?

Good actor but lacks versatility in his roles, is often the criticism leveled against Ranbir.

I read on several forums that he is playing only man-child in all his movies. However, you miss out on subtleties if you make a sweeping statement like this, I feel. In each of his films, he has brought his own special charm to the role and a nuanced understanding of what the character entails. Be it Barfi, Rockstar, Wake Up Sid or Sanju, he has excelled each time by bringing a special dimension to each character. He is never repetitive or one-note acting.

The most important thing about his performances that he isn’t loud the way most Indian actors are …. People here somehow finds it very difficult to connect to an actor who isn’t shouting at top of his lungs, isn’t flaunting some kind of fake swag, isn’t doing some weird act, making sexist remarks on girls or beating 100 people to pulp for no rhyme or reason ….

Comments plz.

Only find him a little bit different in sanju, rest he has the same expressions, same voice in all his movies.

All credits goes to raju and makeup artists for sanju.

Thats cuz he's doing that off-screen.

hes a man child in real too. Honestly after Barfi i stopped liking him. He was horrible in ADHM and Jagga Jassos

Sanju he got saved because of the script or else this guy was over.

Apart from adhm... I don't think any of his character was manchild.

I don't see how he is a man child IRL, just because he has had a few girlfriends. He was great in movies like Raajneeti, Tamasha, Sanju etc. ADHM isn't his best work but not "horrible" by any means, the script was the problem.

If I were Ranbir, I would totally hire you in my PR team. You are doing a much better job than his.
