The way music industry is going these days, to bring back old melodies of Anand Milind and Nadeem Shravan is not a bad idea. This is a good way of connecting youngsters to old melodies with quality music. They may go back to look for original songs and singers.
At least he is taking his work in a positive way.
But it's easy to criticize such people for not bringing the original content and be dependent on previous singers work.
Remixes should be presented in a healthy way so the original people connected to such songs must not get hurt rather feel proud.
Why to bring back old songs? Those songs are already popular. Instead, why not have talented music composers instead of ones making remakes or mediocre music? Anyone creating remakes is a programmer, not a composer...how can one judge his music? Why does every film have a remake song? Why is it that (the latest example) Coolie No. 1 remake was having a new redone version of Main Toh Raste Se Jaa Raha Tha? The Govinda starrer was also a remake, but all songs were new.
These remakes are just a way for the music companies to make money off both versions....since people listen to the new one then go listen to the old one. They also use bots to increase the hits. If the likes of Anand-Milind, Nadeem-Shravan, Anu Mallik are still around to make music, why don't T-Series, Tips, Zee Music get hold of them? Age is no bar for talent. It seems like music companies just want to prove the point that they can still get millions of hits and have hit songs without actual talent...by basically recycling their work.
And these old songs till the 90s are still very popular on radio and streaming services...there is no need to get new mediocre versions of them.
I feel Anand-Milind can still give new fresh songs. This is a song of theirs that released in 2012...you will know what I mean when you hear it:

Anu is still working. All these guys can work today, unless they don't deliver...they deserve a chance
Look at the Lion King remake, Hans Zimmer did the score again. Elton John (who wrote the songs) was called on the premiere red carpet with respect...does this happen in Bollywood? Aankh Maare ka pura credit goes to Tanishk Bagchi and Neha Kakkar from music department...what about Kumar Sanu and more importantly Viju Shah?!
And of course the originals must be hurt...the programmer takes away the credit for the new version, the programmer's name is in the song title, the programmer apparently gets half of the royalty (whereas he is just a programmer, he doesn't deserve any royalty)...upar se originals ko no izzat or acknowledgement...koi aur unke gaano par exist kar raha hai aur paisa kama raha hai which is rightfully theirs...they are not even creatively involved. ...how sad is that
