So he is making up things as usual. Although judging from how much he gushes about her he seem to actually like Aloo and he claims that he is close to SLB so lets see if there is any truth to his news this time.

Uh... Asking your director to replace a newbie with A-listers (Shahid, who had just given Udta Punjab) or a good-looking flavor of the season (Fawad) is not the same as demanding a Z grader to be cast in your movie. SLB would rather cast some Netflixy actor than Daisy. Uski ek jhalak puri film ko Z grade ka bana deta. Besides for Padma, SLB had the choice to cast anyone but Vicky.

Aur kisne kaha hai yeh wala article is true. Agar sach bhi hai this might not be the only realson... Nahin toh set wagera bana ke shooting bhi start nahin karte. It's most likely SLB finding Sallu's acting is "goo" (As SLB call it) upar se woh sab C-gradish demand, upar se Sallu's temper... SLB got fed up of all these and showed Sallu the door.

Salman and slb know each other since decades..they both know each other’s weaknesses and temperaments not that they are not aware of each others yet slb casted salman and salman agreed to do with slb..so I don’t buy this slb fed up of salman yada yada...

Exactly. Shooting wouldn't have started if the full cast wasn't already in place. Salman has been preparing for two months -losing weight, getting work done on his face, injections, workouts and showing off that he's still young- to prepare to romance Alia. He wouldn't jeopardize that for some C-lister from his harem at the last minute. Some journo thought it would be a funny story and ran it. That's all.

Most likely is that SLB saw the mock shoot and realized Bhai and Aloo looked disgusting together or that he can't act for nuts and called it quits. Salman ran to twitter to save his ego and be the first to post to make it look like it was his decision and even then he left leeway by calling it a postponement. It was Bhansali that ended everything and made it clear that the movie was shelved.

Arey this part of my convo with GTC is not related to this Sallu-SLB-Insha Allah mess... This is something we discussed in some previous thread on Padmaavat that she brought up because of my first comment about how SLB is the master on his sets, how he will not change his visions just because someone else suggested it.

I never said this article is true. All I said with regards to the Insha Allah mess is that we may never know the truth but I'm damn sure they did not part ways amicably as they are trying to portray.

I'm telling you, this movie would have been so much fun. Just imagine - a Bhansali light romcom, set in Orlando of all places, with Bhai romancing Aloo with the third angle being Daily Shah. We would not have seen anything so unintentionally hilarious in years. I'm devastated that this film isn't happening. 😭
