she was such an orator and loved and respected across all parties.

For NRI"s she was a lifeline. i remember, the Indian embassy in DC, lost my passport and the moment I wrote to Sushma Swaraj on social media, my issues were addressed by the consulate and resolved. Thats her legacy, she had promised to help every single NRI and she delivered.

She was a powerful speaker. I wish I got into Indian politics (as an NRI) sooner to have the fortune of listening to her speak. Luckily, we have Youtube, so she'll continue to live on and speak forever through those videos.

There was a time when I did not know Modi. (Only a little. That too as some chief minister where lot of Muslims got killed). That was the time, when I was fan of Pramod Mahajan and Sushmaji and their oratory skills.

Then time passed. Mahajanji was no more. Lies of media during Gujarat riots got exposed and Modi started rising. Now with Sushmaji passing away, that era has ended.

She knew, time was not with her. She did as much as she could to help people. When she refused to contest this election, I guessed this may be coming. Hopefully, her last days were happy and painless. Om Shanti.
