Aaah. The plot is very clear to me. Vijay was miffed with all the attention Kabir Singh got when his was the movie which deserved whatever Shahid got on a national level. Kabir Singh rode on Arjun Reddy's back and succeeded ten fold and paid peanuts as dues to the original when it came to publicity. Shahid's Kabir ecliped his Arjun. So he now wants what Shahid has and for that he shook hands with the best publicist in Bollywood. KJo. Vijay wants to establish himself as a Bolly hero now to get what he thinks was his. The Kabir Singh level adulation and box office numbers.
And Karan is a bandwagoner that part is not surprising. He only wants profits. But this is literally Vijay coming to eclipse Shahid, to show him he's better. A challenge of sorts. His reaction to the question why he wouldn't watch Kabir Singh seemed off so this was what was going on in his mind.
The female lead I think would be Jahnvi. They can play the south combo with these two.
