There may be a muslim mafia active in the bollywood since beginning though, that part several people have debated. Using terror and extortion, the tactics usually employed by modern day jehadis.

You picked only muslims or those with muslim parents. Don’t turn it around on me lol! The mafia was involved with everyone when their money was being used. Wasn’t Gulshan Kumar shot by gangs?

Ya so when India became more secular and progressive and forward, the heroes did not need to change names! I found that to be pretty damn amazing! It showed Indians were cool! It’s sad to see people wiping out the hard work of these people with a ‘oh they have no stardom, it’s all because of D-company’! Please! There is probably more truth to nepotism being a reason for their stardom than distributor conspiracy theory! There is more truth to them using their star power & muscle men to hold on to their stardom than this communal angle people are trying to give.

PS: Muslim actresses were big back in the day.

They invested money. It wasn’t a secret. Now Hollywood is investing money and so are the billionaires like Ambani etc.

Every other producer was involved with the underworld during that time. Why are people cherry picking actors and producers?

Imran Khan hasn’t given up his US passport and neither has Akshay given up his Canadian passport. I am pretty sure Deepika still has her EU passport. Most people keep US & European passports. They are excellent for travelling-no visa needed for 100s of countries.

So much discussion going here. Not commenting on underworld connection because I have zero knowledge about it. Yet any connection howsoever strong can help to a certain extent. Connection can help in good films but star power and craze among fans; the connection with masses on and off screen cannot be faked. That needs charisma, amongst other things. Ridiculous for such rumours or even confirmed news entire industry or decades of stardoms/legends are being questioned which anyway does need the aura of star himself.

On a different note, bad time was coming aise hi. Stardom ends with age. It’s interesting to see people equating this to Modi’s rise.

Every top star tries their best to keep competition away...Lata Mangeshkar in her hey days did not let other singers shine for example. I am sure most top stars do this. I am not endorsing this behavior but if we are going to talk about stardom & stars using power to keep their stardom, let’s talk about all stars. No cherry picking.

I agree about Bhai. He is a goonda. In fact it was appalling when Sallu’s stardom did not falter after he harassed/hit Aishwarya or drove his car over people. People were supporting him! It was crazy! But now that KS is a BB, I can see why that didn’t matter to people. He was the real life macho hero of the average Indian men! Lol!

I've said this before but no one believed me. If you look at Khan movies right from the beginning...only Aamir khan did well right from his first movie and y hat too because the story was good. But none of them had the aura or the physicality....Salman was also a puny but fit little guy before the steroids...Yet people were told again and again how the 3 Khan's are the next big thing. It's like Alia's case today....their Akhtar and Azmi was none other than the biggie Big B...

People like AmitabhBachchan were running a media brainwashing campaign that the 3 Khan's will replace me when theyre virtual also runs. ..that man Bachchan has closets brimming with skeletons. ..someone needs to check him out. Read all that on several old magazine archives posted here and there.

And please Shahrukh wasn't some nobody....while people know the other 2 as star kids...this one sways had connections...I remember reading once on his Wikipedia page how his mother was raised by a pakistani general or something. He hides his bg a lot...

OK that's all for today folks

Utterly absurd. SRK's dad was a freedom fighter and because of that he knew a lot of politicians including people like Vajpayee. SRK's mother knew Sanjay Gandhi and there are public photos available of SRK's mother with Indira Gandhi.

His mother's father was an Oxford educated engineer who built the port of Mangalore. She was also raised by General Shah Nawaz Khan who considered her his daughter - he fought in Bose's Indian National Army for India's independence and was sentenced to death by the British for it. The sentence was later reduced and he later became a Minster in the Indian parliament.

Don't spread filth because you want to spread Hindu-Muslim hatred.

And shut your filthy trap before accusing others of things. Everyone knows about the D company and their links with the khan's. ..other posters here too have stated the same.. are they spreading hayred too?

Is the truth hate speech just because the people belong to a certain religion?

I've no interest in spreading anything but the truth. If the truth hurts people and they rather live in some politically correct lala land that's their problem. I'll tag that Pakistan general link when I'm on my laptop later.
