So sorry you went through that, Hummingbird ..yaar IDK if I should say this and IDK what to say because IDK about your life but, please try not to resort to self-harm.. Wishing whatever happens in future is in harmony with your heart. I hope there never arise such situations where you feel trapped.

First of all dont think always that u will end up with a creep or some other species. Be positive. It's easier to say no to marriage if ur in job. Keep giving all job exams . And give high preference to a city away from ur city.

If ur unromantic, asexual or hate kids, stay away. Or tell to family that u hv problem talking with boys as they never let u when u were young and now u need to know a person properly before getting marriage which will take some time.

I am also a cat person. I love cats as they are not clingy and won't lick u all the time and won't chase ur guests away lol. But will still cuddle when it wants to. They need their own space.

I would advise you to get a job or a better degree. Your qualifications and experience will give you the confidence to be in control of your life. You wouldn't be a passive participant of your circumstances. And speak up! To random dude. If you find a dude absolutely hot in a mall, go and ask him the time or the direction. Smile at random people and greet them. Doing these might start with anxiety but in the end will bring you enormous joy.

the advantage that kabir singh had was that he chose a girl like preeti, she never questioned him, never had an opinion of her own, she did whatever kabir wanted her to do, and the times she did want something or tried to even explain something to him kabir shouted at her and slapped her, the poor girl just wanted to stay 2-3 days more with him and he kept saying no coz he can't 'handle goodbyes', he is such a child, and when he said would break preetis friends face coz all she was doing was asking preeti about kabir and her, such a violent and aggressive man

kabir is a very controlling person, his opinion is the right one and he does not care about how anybody else feels about his choices and decisions, he is out of control, i mean what guy would inject himself the day before his brothers wedding? he has no patience, he gave preeti just 6 hours to come to him, that is not how normal people function, people like kabir need professional help, a doctor and psychiatrist to help him with his anger issues and to teach him how to behave with people

girls today should have their own opinions and choices, they have the right to speak up for what they believe in without a guy shouting them down

at the end of the film they showed 'they live happily ever after', but in reality life isn't just easy sailing, in life people continue to go through ups and downs, and how do we know if a guy like kabir would be able to handle those downs? we see in the film that he goes into destructive mode whenever that happens

and when people say 'but preeti also slapped him', well if their relationship was a healthy one kabir and preeti would both understand that slapping each other is not right, but whenever preeti slapped him he would just smile and take it, her slapping him wasn't a big deal to him, coz her slap was just 'playful' to him, and that isn't right either, shouting, getting physically violent are all unhealthy parts of a relationship, it seemed like him and preeti never had any of those conversations

so no, i would never be with a guy like kabir, the relationship in the film was toxic

I loved the movie and Shahids character but id never wish any of female friends or family members to marry a guy like that. It only works in movies,not in real life.
