Who could've portrayed a better Piku?

I started watching Piku a week or so ago (still have an hour to go on Netflix!!) and had high expectations from Deepika cos she was hyped up so much. However, she couldn't impress me at all. Therefore, I'm thinking who would've been a better fit for the character?

I found her irritatingly annoying and obnoxious. She wasn't endearing or even likeable to me. I will try to go back to watching the film.

Kangana, Rani or Konkona Sen..

Even Anushka or Sonam would have done a better job than Deepika.

Deepika was perfect as Piku! She was so endearing in that role..loved the movie and loved her in it!

Literally anyone.

That movie itself is overhyped, or maybe I’m just not into toilet humour.

My fav Deepika movie. She was incredibly good in it and looked gorgeous. Gotta watch it now ...

She is supposed to be obnoxious, there is a clear indication that people don't like dealing with her.

But, then you see her dancing in her room, which shows that she still has her silly, child-like side intact.

I think Deepika did wonderfully, in portraying different layers of the character. Kudos to the last scene where she is sad that her dad is no more but is also relieved that he is in a better place and she is finally free. Her eyes displays this paradox of feelings wonderfully.

IMO this is the best role of Deepika and yes a lot of other great actors could have done it but her own interpretation of this character was amazing!

DP was perfect. Loved the movie. And loved her in it. In fact, Piku made me a fan of her acting. She was ah-mazing.

On India forums, everything is overrated. Doesn't make it true though. Movie is loved and rightly so.
