in that case, there is an option called NOTA which we can use........ yes re-election is very expensive, but if we dont trust any of the contestant, then too, we should let the Election Commission know.

Yes, not just celebs, I judge anyone who doesn't vote despite having all the facilities and health to reach the polling booth. I mean elections come once in five years, that too the booth is always around 2 km radius, takes just 2 mins to vote. I mean if you can't do that much for once in five years for yourself not anyone else, I can't help but be judgemental about you.

Given the amount of work the EC has done this year to make voting process so smooth, I mean there were more EC employees than voters in the booths in Mumbai today, this is the least we can do!

I AGREE. very eloquently put.

Who didn’t go other than the people who couldn’t vote? Seems like all the major A listers voted.

I would understand if these are tribal areas or villages where people dont know much and life and development hasn't been allowed to happen. I've seen this firsthand how such people don't have a clue about voting. I also understand those areas where security is a concern. I would never want someone to lose their lives over a vote. Never. All your points make sense in that respect. But people in cities or suburbs or metros have used these excuses too and I don't have any respect for them. I've seen uncles say stuff like 'Kya hoga vote karke' but would bitch about demonization and GST in the same breath.

I have a different take, I believe voting is a choice. If you choose not to vote- that is also a choice and I think we should respect that too. I personally never vote because I believe all politicians are corrupt and are liars.

Voting is a scam and its a system that makes you think you can make decisions but all it really is.....is a big sham!

Still the city lag far behind when cities like Kolkata are recording numbers as high as 82-85%. The numbers this year mean half of Mumbai just didn't vote!

That doesn't directly mean that the city is careless... It can also mean that the voters probably shifted outside for work reasons.

If you don't vote, you should not complain or preach about any injustice going on in the country. It barely takes any time. Use your voice. Use your rights. It's not just for celebrities. All citizens have that right. Use it.
