Why Salman has no movie like ddlj, despite being a superstar.

Maybe.......but in general i have noticed DDLJ songs play more often on tv, then HAHK.......even tv airing i have noticed DDLJ more then HAHK....trust me, i am neutral towards both, i love both the movies equally.....

yea, he was a Rajshri 'Hero' .... and though their movies are sweet down to earth types, but I feel, somehow YRF movies are remembered more...... from Rajshri I only remember MPK and HAHK, only due to its star cast of Salman, and Madhuri....... which are the other movies from Rajshri.....but for YRF, even a dud like Lamhe is more in the face.......Of course Salman doesnt need YRF, as I mentioned earlier he is a superstar, which we dont even need to mention..........but I had this question since sometime and hence posted it......

Actually its the other way round. Zee ke channelon pe regularly MPK, HAHK and HSSH ke songs and movies keep playing. Weekly all 4 movies of Salman with Rajshri r shown. Marketing wise DDLJ, KKHH did better but reality is that domestic circuit mein Salman' movies with Rajshri are bigger hits and DDLJ, KKHH did exceptionally well in international market and created huge fanbase that bollywood enjoys today.

YRF and Dharma are more active social media than rajshri. They put these tributes and stuff out there much more

Rajshri made Hum Saath Saath Hain, Vivah, forgetful Main prem ki deewani hoon, prem ratan dhan payo. If u compare it with YRF toh the number is less. But Rajshri was a bigger PH than Yash raj until Aditya and Uday took over YRF and overhauled it and gave it a makeover. Rajshri movies have bigger footfalls than yrf movies. But YRF markets their success better where as Barjatiya's are more traditional in approach.

I get why anjs is asking . @anjs: I know you didn't ask with any intention.. @all:please all think, why would she attack Salman? Cmon !

On topic: I admit I also knew about DDLJ more. It's more... promoted as 'THE Indian romcom' outside..to us, foreigners.

So unless you are from India or have Indian connections...you might not be aware one is as big as the other. TBH, SRK was paraded by his PR team so much all over Europe (maybe USA , too) as THE khan of Bollywood that I believed he was the biggest star. And it took until I started watching movies after 2015 and learning about real star power for me to understand he is big, but he isn't 'greater' or 'stronger' star than Salman or Aamir.

So maybe it has to do with perceptions, too??

Also: when SRK was into a lot of romantic roles, Salman was doing romantic but was doing a lot of action movies- AFAIK?

So maybe because Salman didn't concentrate so much on JUST romantic./. people perception was also skewed- maybe with help of PR, too.

IN 2015, when I was learning about Bollywood I thought : SRK was the biggest star and doing mostly romance.. Salman was the action star (together with Akki) and Aamir was the new Amitabh Bachchan.. OF COURSE.. as I 've got to know stuff.. I DID learn they weren't quite so delineated nd that SRK wasn't THE biggest.. just one of the trio.. ( and maybe SRK 's films failing to hit BO since around 2013-2014 has also started to change the perception)

hmm..........this can be the reason...... so you are saying promoting YRF movies, have made us (at least me) feel like DDLJ is a benchmark movies, while HAHK n MPK is forgotten....... quite possible......

^ Salman mixed up the genres a lot. He used to do comedy, action, romcoms, drama at the same time and never got boxed into a particular genre. If anything he created his own genre. That is storyless movies 😁
