Anyway, my fave romcoms of Salman are HDDCS and PRDP (yeah throw popcorn at me, it's fine.. still watching them here and there)

HAHK was a monstrous hit and is top 5 all time in footfalls history but perception amongst casual audience is that DDLJ was the bigger hit due to its popcultural impact. The marketing of “still running in Maratha Mandir” has a lot to do with that.I have seen many casual movie watchers falling for that trap/ perception.

Another case of perception not matching reality is if people didn’t research they would have no freaking clue that Sunny’s Gadar was the baahubali of its time, yet Lagaan which was released on the same day, was simply a hit but is considered the more iconic film and more “successful” due to the Oscar nomination. 🤷‍♂️
