I personally don't think so tbh.
The film was spoilt because having this fake, wannabe SLB aesthetic which didn't really fit in with the story or location, and how the plot was twisted at every stage to make Roop look more important.
But then I guess if Deepika was Roop instead of Alia, they wouldn't have shown that kind of favouritism in the first place, so for that reason the film may have turned out better in the end.
