Get good behind the camera professionals and voila u get a good movie.

All the actors in kalank are good just that they were in bad hands.

Nowadays even the mighty Salman Khan or Rajni kanth cant save a bad film from sinking tho DP aur RS kya cheez hai.. Lol

That's unfair. In none of their movies did DeepVeep snatch roles or minimise pweople's roles.

They haven't been accused of such stuff like Alia.

Jim Sarbh(Malik Kafur part) was small but the actor played it trmendously well!!! Adi Rao Hydari had a good part.. Shahid had a big part and many had parts that were quite big.

ANyway, I hope that if Ranveer got the roles maybe he could have essayed it better and got better results, same with Deepika. But direction and changing stuff can ruin many soups.

In the same way that Ranveer saved Befikre with his out of the world acting and Deepika saved XXX with her subtle nuanced acting...

Befikre -not a grand scale historical😆managed 60-70 cr takings on a 60-70 cr budget (in 2016) and was panned out by most critics (Ranveer's acting wasn't the issue, that was the good part) and badly marketed.

Without a 20% increase in ticket price and a 5 day weekend,without 4000 theatres.

Kalank was hyped to the hilt, got some good reviews-especially Aloo- and was promoted as a SLB type grand scale movie with Aloo the next big period heroine. People were expecting 200-250 cr and ATBB tag..

Let's see Kalank (in 2019) make 150 cr- its own budget- even with overinflated ticket prices(20% more than BB price),4000 screens and 5 days holiday..😆

...then we can compare.
