How can a film's title be changed after the release. It is the title that is the problem for all the institutes.

whether related to serious issue or not...the words 'Mental Hai Kya' is used like a jibe... the tone in using the words in day to day life is what makes it more stigmatic...

Tittle phrase is very common. It might be insensitive to some, but without context it is not. I'm assuming mental here is crazy, insane.

Well, other organisations working in the psychiatric health field also are talking about it, there is a topic rn about the Indian Psychiatric Society demanding a title change also, don't see what's the big deal about TLLL tweets.

If only it were this simple. Depression is not a choice or decision that someone makes- it is a medical condition that is treatable by medical professionals. Please don't compound the issue by blaming the person suffering from depression.

TLLL is very active on social media and they keep tweeting and retweeting stuff on a regular basis. Nothing to do with Deepika.

I see nothing wrong with the tweet from TLL foundation. They are afterall an NGO working in the same sector trying to alleviate the stigma associated with mental health

The protest is against the poster and the TITLE which portrays people with mental illness in bad light.

The posters are whacky and comes with the headline Mental hai kya? What does it mean? if the film is supposed to show the mental health community in positive light as the makers said. Then they should obviously look for a better title.

The tagline states " This JUNE watch two MENTALS collide.." what is positive about it?

The action and the statement from the makers do not go hand in hand.

If they were sensitive to the issue . they wouldve chosen a better title

exactly... I don't know much about the movie and its story but first glance, it makes me feel that the poster is mocking someone... calling them mental for some reason... its obvious such thing will only strengthen the thinking that having such issue is a weakness, a stigma... People will mock you...

This does not give the vibe of sensitive portrayal of the issue...
