I thought that the film is purposely called mental hai kya because the film deals with stigma attached to mental illnessses?

I don't think the film is making statements in a serious way. Pehle pata karo phir bolo

Ummm...
Woah! That's taking on Kangana+Ekta Kapoor.

This is not gonna end well!

Not saying the protest is not right, but Ekta is gonna explode😆 probably more fiercely than Rangoli.

I did not like the poster one bit with the blade in between ...that's really kind of dangerously whacky..did not give a good vibe or intro to the movie.
I feel the movie may be like pushing the envelope where people go ..." are you out of your mind" kind of crazy...

Its right to raise questions on this poster and title . However , the title and poster have been on the social media for almost 6 months now, raising questions on it now downplays the credibility of it. However I do agree that questions should be raised on posters like this, title is OK as it can be interpreted any way.

For eg : If someone attempts a daredevil stunt, the first thing we ask is " are you crazy"

Tomorrow god forbid, Deepika fumbles casually remarks" Are you crazy" for something, it might backfire on her

TLLL tweeted today, after the indian psychiatry society has written to CBFC.It had to address it.I an sure Deepika has already spoken to RKR and others. The attention the film is getting will help the film.
Also people don't realise how intelligent Kangana is.She is not a loose cannon. She knows exactly what she is doing. On this subject she will address the society with respect, which will help the film.If she wants to get back at DP, she will do it at the right time. Not now.
Also I think nepo king and BW mafia is her new target. She will not say anything against outsiders..who she is fighting on behalf of. That is what I have observed.

Personally, I don't think that is an issue . because it's just a saying now.. it's problematic if the subject matter is related and insensitive .

Waise I know how these sayings are also a part of the problem because they originated from insensitivity or ignorance. It's true we should try to phase them out of our languages but I don't know if I'm as offended.

The Indian Psychiatric Association officially launched their protest to CBFC this week. TLLL was supporting that and seeking the makers to clarify. It did not warrant Rangoli's vitriol on Deepika.

  • If only it were this simple. Depression is not a choice or decision that someone makes- it is a medical condition that is treatable by medical professionals. Please don't compound the issue by blaming the person suffering from depression.

    .

    Also DP herself reacted to
Salman's "depression is a luxury" comment. So don't think this is DP's way of attacking Kangu by using her foundation.

Deepika is one of the only actresses to have spoken out against Salman Khan for public comments .

She did not fear retribution then. Why would she do now.

she has always spoken up against societal issues... I remember reading in the article, how during their meeting, she had spoken up against screening of movies involving #metoo accused in Mami film festival... She was the only one who raised the issue and said that Mami shouldn't support the accused, it will set wrong precedent.

Deepika has publicly named Salman Khan for his irresponsible remarks on Depression. Hope this perspective helps.
