Tailor made and miscast

I know this forum hates Alia and you all have your reason for not liking her.. I respect your opinions.. But I am seeing two words very commonly used for Alia in this forum and its confusing me.. One is 'tailor made' and other is 'miscast'..Half the time forum people are like she shines because all her roles are tailor made for her and rest of the time they are like she is a miscast in almost all her movies. How can it be both at the same time.. Isnt both mutually exclusive?

She is miscast in kalank. Other tailor made.

I like alia as an actress. She is pretty good in acting if we compare her to the other actresses but its kind of true that roles are specially made for her. Well written characters with full screen space e.g raazi highway kalank dear zindagi and she shines.

Curated is the word. Alia got everything curated for her since day-1 of her acting career by Karan. He does it for his own selfish reasons so no free ka lunches anywhere. So coming to the point. Alia is an ok actor who was given opportunities to hone her skills film after film by Karan. She has always worked with good directors who knew their craft. The only time she worked with a mediocre director she faltered. Shandaar. When she worked with a bad director she was horrible. SOTY. Even Sid was better than her in it. She could not even lip sync properly in GMP song. The alaap part looked comical so much so that they just edited it out and never show it anymore when the song airs on music channels. In closeups it was evident she just could not get the sync with the sound right. And the costume in the song is wearing her instead of she wearing it. Hence the public reaction that she seems miscast. She looks bachkana (not her fault) something akin to shahid. He went straight from baby face to buddha. She is the same. Will straight start to look old instead of gradual process.

She's definetly miscast in Kalank and not cut out for period films. She says is she mad to dance with Madhuri whereas actresses like Karishma and Aishwarya held their own in the Dance of Envy and Dola Re respectively because they believe in their talent and know what they bring to the table. Alia and KJo are both well aware of her weaknesses and are very careful to not highlight that on the big screen.

She has been a miscast from the beginning. Her wannabe Poo act from student is like child playing dress and it has been the same.

I think people mean tailor-made as in ...projects being created for her. Not tailor made for her? Basically Alia is getting clothes stitched that do not fit her.

Don't take such posts seriously. I have no idea who said those things but most of the hate Alia gets is from rival actresses's fans.
