Aishwariya is the one to speak. šŸ˜†
Literally, everything came to her on a platter thanks to her looks. Nobody is ever going to say she's hardworking or talented. Just good looking. Sadly, she couldn't do 'shit' with her opportunities except getting married into the Bachchan family.

But to whine that Alia gets opportunities and curated scripts but others ( read she) doesn't, is nothing but whining. She has the knack to ruin the tailor made scripts like Sarabjit and Jazba. Not anyone's fault if she could not shine through such intense scripts.

Besides, proclaiming at every given opportunity that all and sundry roles have been offered to her first and all others are riding on the success of her uttaran is being plainly entitled and grossly mean.

If Sarbjit and Jazbaa are intense scripts, I got nothing to say! Sarbjit was still okay, and she did get nominated for Filmfare and National Awards. But Jazbaa was a bad film period. No one could have saved it, because it wasn't the acting, but the direction, screeplay and the bizarre green lighting that let it down. And how easy it is to say "oh that film flopped because you ruined it" - How come she wasn't able to ruin films like Raincoat, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Jodhaa Akbar, Provoked, Kandukondain or Guru?

And what she said is true, even if you choose to call it whining. Alia does have the best of opportunities in her lap, from day 1, thanks to her connections. Ash did give Alia credit by saying she is converting those opportunities into good work, but fact is a fact - Alia wouldn't have been able to do much without the opportunities she got oh-so-easily.

Never seen an actress be so honest about something šŸ˜† This was a delight to watch. 😃

Aishwarya is known to be very diplomatic. This is one rare ocassion where she had her guards down. Maybe now she is not very concerned about industry connections and pleasing them for getting work. Did karan and she hung out post this interview? Don't think so!

She might not be an excellent actor but just like Alia she shone bright when she worked with good and competent directors. Let Alia work with mediocre to bad film makers and we shall see how she fares! oh wait she did!! She worked with Karan and was shitty in SOTY. So there you go.

Well for me both Jazbaa and Sarabjit were intense scripts... No worries if you tink otherwise.

If you are discrediting Jazbaa to bad movie with bad direction and bad screenplay and nobody could save it then it also must be true that the movies you have mentioned like Raincoat, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Jodhaa Akbar, Provoked, or Guru were already good movies with good direction and screenplay and anyone in place of Aish could have salvage those movies.

She whines... when she repeatedly reiterates that all the hit movies have been her pass-downs, she whines. I agree about Alia...she gets opportunities, but so has Aishwarya.

Noone can take or deny her struggle during her modelling days, to how she struggled to become Miss World and how much she has contributed in putting India in the global map. These are facts.

And since we will continue to have diverse views, lets agree to disagree..

Well you are certainly in the minority cause more critics agree that there wasn't anything intense about Jazbaa.

Well, I don't know if anyone else could have done the same job in those good movies. I am not denying that. I am saying at least she didn't ruin them the way you said she ruined some intense scripts lol

She never says all the hit movies are "her pass-downs". Talking about how she was offered some films, which are all facts, isn't a crime. Many actors do that. I don't see the big deal about it. If you do, that's again your POV not mine. So yeah, agreed to disagree.

LOL, even if we assumed for a second that it's true. How many stunning and beautiful women got everything on a platter? Dia Mirza for example, is a flawless beauty but never made a mark?

Calling Ash "just beautiful" and nothing else is silly. She was beautiful, yes. But how she used what she was naturally born with shows how smart and intelligent she was in creating opportunities for herself. She got into modelling with her looks. But from there on, it was her confidence, intelligence and talent that catapulted her to a world stage with Miss World. Again, there were many Miss Worlds from India like Diana Hayden, Yukhta Mookhey, etc. who weren't really able to make much progress after that. But Ash did.

She swept all the Best actress awards in her third film. Surely it took more than beauty!

You guys can discredit as much her as you want. But you can't wipe history off.

Aish will go down in history like Madhubala? Sry for what? Only Madhuri achieved it, no one else came close, perhaps Sridevi, that's it. IMO Alia now is in much better state than Aish ever was. I think she was jealous of her that;s y she repeatedly takes digs against her.

Yeah I've seen how she's always diplomatic in her interviews, even in this one she was diplomatic. Pata nahi when it came to Alia, she suddenly got brutally honest šŸ˜†

I think her inner Kangana emerged šŸ˜†But in a sophisticated way.šŸ˜† It's true that Ash doesn't probably care much about what the industry thinks anymore and doesn't need to please everyone to get work.

I think this interview happened while promoting Fanney Khan. Don't know if Karan and her met after this. How will Karan explain why he is not working with her again though? šŸ˜†šŸ˜†

At least she is delivering hits left ,right and centre unlike you who delievered one flop after another ..

Neither ur performances were anythng to write home about in those flops .Yet you kept getting work so why complain abt Alia who has been brilliant in each and every film .This is nothing but mid life crisis where old folks get jealous of their young counterparts .
