While it is possible to be in a loving relationship while being depressed, I hope she takes a long hard look at Ranbir before getting married atleast. For her sake atleast.

I wonder why independent and successful doormats still exist. It's sad to behold successful women willing to reduce themselves to such a status for men in the name of love. 🤢

I think she also did 3 yo 4 movies year

Well actresses don't have as long run as the guys in nasty Bollywood
In given time you gotta do it all , say as much as you can

The reign of an actress at top ends pretty fast

These were different times for everyone, though - working on many projects at the same time was for stars then, both male and female, the norm, rather than exception. In 1988 or 1989 Madhuri shot scenes for 12 films. At the beginning of the 90's Sanju signed for over 40 projects etc.

You know what's really unnerving? The pseudosexy photos at the start of the article.

A few years ago I didn't understand the difference between sadness and depression and then read an article by Alia's sister Shaheen where she explained it and I finally understood. So I don't think Alia is confused about that.

I think depression, anxiety was there during those days. Maybe they ignored it thinking it's normal or due to workload. Maybe they were not as comfortable as today bringing it out in open, Sharing with public .

I wonder how those poor ladies in old days handled postpartum. I still feel there are many poor women even today , especially in remote areas , communities who get no help

Maybe I am oversimplifying it, but in all probability, the anxiety is due to huge expectation that she has taken upon herself, signing 7 films in a row is not a joke. She wants to achieve too much in less time. Probably not taking enough rest, spending quality time with family, friends, etc does take a toll. Hope it's nothing serious, she is only 26, needs to take it easy, enjoy life.

All good points. The older times seemed much less PR-based too. Nowadays, looking at those"hot to trot" pictures of Alia in an article where she talks about depression, I can't help being a bit cynical about it because of who publishes this, because of the timing, because I don't know anymore when she's real and when she fakes yet another thing.

A proper diagnosis by a doctor is always good. I was diagnosed with clinical depression and severe anxiety a few months back. Although still not completely out of it, medication and therapy have helped me. She should go for it if she feels it is serious and is affecting her routine or daily mood.

Why do all of Ranbir's gf's end up having some kind of issue? He always leaves girls in vulnerable/suffering conditions.
Its something to seriously think about. Everyone loves to jump up and down about him and his so called "talent"...but he seems like an awful human being!

Alia looked happy BEFORE getting with him. Now she looks like shes worn out and sad.

I have been to doc and I feel it's useless. Finally one should deal with it on its own.

It is true that most of the work has to be done by the individual, but going to the Doctor does help in my opinion. Medication came to my rescue when I couldnt even go about my daily routine. Talking to the therapist on a weekly or fortnightly basis helps in maintaining the progress of the recovery.
