It is true that most of the work has to be done by the individual, but going to the Doctor does help in my opinion. Medication came to my rescue when I couldnt even go about my daily routine. Talking to the therapist on a weekly or fortnightly basis helps in maintaining the progress of the recovery.
I think depression, anxiety was there during those days. Maybe they ignored it thinking it's normal or due to workload. Maybe they were not as comfortable as today bringing it out in open, Sharing with public .
I wonder how those poor ladies in old days handled postpartum. I still feel there are many poor women even today , especially in remote areas , communities who get no help

I think when you attain fame through negative means it also affects you. When you know deep down that you don't deserve it and are playing god with your kismat. Getting tailor made roles and things handed on a platter - it doesn't sit well with the spirit
Working hard and putting genuine effort into work helps a lot.

She does look anxious and neurotic/anorexic nowadays, lost a lot of weight too.Aur karo 7-8 films sign, just to prove Papa right that you are the biggest actress in BW ...overwork and too much pressure can lead to anxiety and depression.
Since I'm cynical about BW wale and aware of their dirty ploys here is my third option...She is faking it to counter criticism, esp from Kangana and media (Yeah, they'd soon turn against her).Ek toh story number 2, story no 1 se match nahin kar raha, upar se she's self diagnosed and treating herself through reading books.
🤔 Depression/anxiety pills ke bina nahin jaate hai, no matter how supportive a family you have.
