Till Raazi,Alia seemed to be trying to create her own identity.Help from a production house,not withstanding.In the west too studios have contracts with actors.

GB too was a win.

Then comes Kalank,a wannabe SLB film designed to impress SLB..and signing RRR,which is about 2 regional legends.

Suddenly,you see someone as wanting to be like someone else..and then proclaim it as a triumph.

Any film today will sound better with Deepika in it..except those which have Varun,RKR,or other boyish looking heroes.

When these films are announced with Alia-People go ugh why?

so obviously she doesnt get respect.

Who cares about being respected. She is not some spiritual guru or even a politician whom aam janta look up to. She is also not one of those actresses who has created a legacy. She is just 25 and a long way to go. Only time will tell how she fares and competes with the young generation.

For now, she is a popular actress who is cute and acts well. It's only in IF where these things matter as to who is backing them and which production house movies they are being offered.

Thats the same as saying that who cares if Salman is a criminal, he is a popular and has a fan base? Who cares what happens off screen right ? 😆 Some form of respect IMO is important when youre a star.

If you think its okay to manipulate in order to get work and be ahead of competition than thats cool :) I respect people like Taapsee, Kangana and Vidya more for craving their own destiny and not being a chewtoy.

this is what I have been saying all along. she does nor get work through a respectful means. why do people shoot out terms like nepotism and troll at her and kjo constantly then if ppl dont care about it?

they may not be directly impacted, but respect does go down and you cant deny that.

if you are on instagram or twitter and read comments, or even on youtube on interviews, almost someone will point it out and there will be some 1,000 likes too.

You seriously did not bring Salman here!!!??? Do you really think his criminal record has anything to do with his popularity. Its simple, the respect that he gets in media is all because of the power that he exudes from being this huge superstar, the legacy and the empire he has build and has nothing to do with either his criminality nor his charity work with Being human.

As for Tapsee, Vidya ( Kangana excluded), I admire them too for their prowess but they have done nothing to earn my respect as such.
See what I meant is, most of the population are not even aware how these actors lands into a role, for them it's either hit movie or flop. There is no denying that Alia's is the one born with a silver spoon but there is nothing to be disrespectful towards her 😛.

Varun and Alia are taken as single unit when people take about their movies, Varia. So I don't get from where you got this ''they don't get credit'' thing.

LOL Thug jee, Aloo had huge hit before she did those hit movies with Varun? 😆

2 States was a super hit but who gets the credit? Aloo got that movie gifted from KJo after a horrendous debut in SOTY and a flop Highway. Would any other newbie actress get a prize movie like that after a bad debut and a flop?

Was the Opening and BO of 2 States due to flop Alia or due to the Chetan Bhagat's popular novel and the great cast? In fact I found Arjun, Amrita and Ronit scenes much better acted than Arjun-Aloo scenes, but as usual 2 States becomes Alia's film just because she was hyped by KJo and his PR 😆

@blue - that is a completely biased pov coming from a fan. Doesn't necessarily true for everyone.

@Black bold - That is only on IF BW forum. And cerain fandoms to be honest 😆
