Ranbir is on a high from Sanju and Alia is current hot star. Brahmastra should open atleast 25cr.

But how do we give credit to the actors for opening days! ..

Like for example .. Padma .. who gets the credit .. RS or DP or SLB for the opening day1?! ... Simmba .. RS or RS (Rohit shetty.. 😆)..

How about for GB? .. who gets the credit for opening day .. RS or Alia? ..

Even for Sanju .. opening day RK or Sanju or Hirani?!

Now that I think about it ... I don't think this technique is satisfactory ... 🤔

I feel it's the "perception" created by these actors in media which denotes their "stardom" more than numbers or opening days! ... As in how many successes have they had and how big those successes were compared to others .. how consistent have they been .. so on!

Then you can try averaging openings of movies released in last three years, since bo pull keeps changing with un/favorable time.

Actual reason behind the movie's opening could be something else but after the movie is out of theater the credit goes to the leading actors since you've mentioned it depends on perceptions. Your last movie's result as well as PR change perception in aam admi's mind. Ek big hit ke baad tum shark bhi ban sakte ho ya phir hibernating bhaaloo.

So you're saying ... RS and Alia gets credit for GB .. RS and DP for Padma .. RK for Sanju .. RS for Simmba and so on! .. (On another note, Sonam claims credit for Sanju too .. 😆)

The actual number itself doesn't matter though. It could be 10 or 20 or 30, it works against the expectations.

A Raazi opening at 7.5 Cr gives Alia much more of a perception boost than a Badri opening at 12 or even a Gully Boy at 19 Cr. Similarly, Padmavat has a very low opening relative to other similar grossers, but the overall gross leaves a bigger impact in the audience's head for Deepika. Zero opened better than any other films of Deepika or Alia, but it did more damage than good.

Kyun nahin? I'm sure McGorgeous has added Sanju's opening also while calculating Anushka's average. Sonam was the love interest usse toh zyada haq banta hai. Aur PC ki theory mano toh Diya Mirza the biwi ko Sonam se bhi zyada credit milenge.
