You're saying as if this movie exposed her star power and still Kjo gave her Dear Zindagi.
Even though it has been said many times, it was SRK who wanted her in it, and not Kjo forced her into it.

truth is..she deserved to struggle like any of her contempoaries would, she was not "way ahead" of them at the time, neither was she percieved as anything special until the better roles came her way on her plate
