That's true! ... Just the other day I had come across an article which said how Farah picked up Deepika from a "music video" she did with that nasal singer (forgot his name .. 😆) .. So I am sure she must have started from bottom realm with "modelling and music video" until someone noticed her! .. Coming from a family of Padukone may have given her financial ease to assimilate in Mumbai but I am sure she must have had to work for her due!

I was watching KR's interview and I remember she said that if "you're good at what you do, there will be tons of opportunity and work in the industry"! .. Now "having any kind of work" vs "having A work" is where the criticism for Alia comes in play! ... Almost all actors and actresses have gotten work post their "flops" ... but not everyone has gotten A-list projects even after their flops thrown in their lap "WITHOUT any effort"... there may be exception but generally speaking most had to struggle and compromise with "mediocre projects" .. not the same case for "ALIA"

It's all hunky and dory for you to give her due she deserves ... but she should also get the criticism she deserves! ..

nah, she gets too much criticism just because she is Alia. Like there is no one in the industry who was giving hits and than after one flop stopped getting quality work. That is bullshit.
I just example of people getting good works despite not going good box office. Alia was having a great time with hits like 2States and Humpty which were her success as much as her costar, so one Shandaar means she would have been out of the race. Logical baat Karo na bhai. Did she bagged DZ because she is Dharma's poster kid? yes. Is it the only reason? No. would she had got it, had she been a flop like Athiya? No.

Alia is lucky no doubt, but to say she only gets work because of Kjo after a point, while disregarding her popularity is meh. Like if Kalank flops, she getting any movie is just Kjo, because one flop destroys all credibility.

Why everyone wants the same path as Alia??
Who knows Kriti might have four super hits this year and the became a bigger star, Kesari becomes a BB, and all next Parineeti movies do well, all Shraddha movies become hits. But still everyone(I mean the forumites) wants the same path as Alia. Kareena also had the same path as Alia getting strong roles, but both Priyanka and Katrina(although she is also kinda nepotism product only) race ahead of her in terms of popularity and fandom. So yes it is possible for others to race ahead of her, despite her getting all the support, she is isn't the lone reason why others aren't doing good.

Alia fans should be happy, jab log tumhare khilaf bolne lage, samajh lo tarakki kar rahe Ho. Couple of yrs back no one talked about her it was all about Deepika, Anushka. Kat now it's all about her while the rest are hardly talked about, waqt waqt ki baat hai 😆
