I am not happy with this movie's success either. It's a propaganda movie about a strike which was only popularised as this govt's revenge strike when even the army says that such strikes happen often. I don't agree with the use of this strike for the govt's own image building. There is so much difference between a Raazi being successful and Uri being lapped up by the audience. It's a shame really. The final nail in the coffin will be if this strike makes it into the history books, if it hasn't already.

Very well deserved. Uri is crisp, to the point, and overall a very well made well. Films like this one are rare in Bollywood wherein the script is so watertight and strong. And who would guess it's the director's first film? My hat's off, Aditya Dhar.
Not for a moment does he let you breathe while watching the film. I am happy for team Uri.

Those criticizing the film should watch it and see how well made it is. A lot of those criticizing here haven't even seen the film which, in my opinion, is being very unfair. Also, at the end of the day whether you like it or not, India is a deeply deeply patriotic country. It reflects everywhere in our society. Deal with it.

Deservingly so. From the trailer it looked kind of OTT to me but it was a surprisingly well made and edited film. There were a couple of ridiculous things like the very final terrorist and Garuda, but they also need to appeal broad.
It is kinda great to see genres beyond social drama, romance and Masala doing well in Bollywood. Uri and Gully Boy deserve it much more than something like Simmba.
