I read on some articles that Shilpa used to replace her sister on some of the movies shooting when her sister was busy because they are twin sisters and nobody could've recognize who is really shooting for the movie. There were some articles about cheating like that many years ago. There was no need to drag Jennifer in here. Her fans are going to bash Jennifer and call you jealous fan of Jennifer because most of her fans hate Jennifer. They think that Jennifer got all the fame by replacing her on DMG and they still couldn't take the fact that Jennifer replaced their favorite actress in DMG 10 years ago.

When I look back , I think it was quite clear from her intv that she was never ''passionate" about her acting. She came into acting coz of her sister as she herself was aa web designer. She found acting in dramas tedious and tiring she was not prepared for long shooting round the clock. There was news that while doing DMG on the new years eve she lied to the pH that she is Ill so that she can party in Goa. She was not ready for that kind of hard work or whatever you call it that one needs in a daily soap and I think that was the reason she quit the show . She said after quitting that TV is difficult , films and advertisment/modelling is easy.

Also a ppl said she left because her boyfriend became insecure and she does look like someone who would choose love over profession but the broke up soon and she went to America and this really affected her

She came back and joined DMG for God knows why

Shr was offered shows but she kept demanding Money , now when I think about it I think she wanted to be secure financially as her father passed away many years ago and she runs some business with her mother so maybe she needed the money , I am sure she did all those B grade films for money and one A grade (not really) that she got with Sanjay Dutt was never released.

But I think She had potential only if she realised she did very well for a debut show and she was quite brilliant in her one telefilm that she did though her diction was a problem her accent actually

Anyways she was a one show wonder, but that show wonder hearts of many forever I still keep going back to hotstar to watch some episodes but only those episodes in which She is there as Riddhima and I never watched an episode after she left the show...

Shilpa was good even in her debut Telugu film but she gave tough time to the producers there hence no offers after her debut even though it was successful. That producer cum actor is highly influential in Telugu industry. She could have made it had she been professional there.

She needs to get back to shape if she's still thinking about a career as an actress.

I am not any fan of shilpa but she was harassed by Producer Mohan Babu who is known for being a difficult person with political influence. He went to an extent of slapping the actress. Now I see how rumours are produced on this forum.

Mohanbabu is known for his punctuality and Shilpa used to skip shoots causing loss. I don't deny he is a difficult person and slapping is wrong but Shilpa could have been careful considering that is her debut. They even thought of replacing her then. So much hungama happened.

Actress 'slapped' for refusing to kiss

By Omer Farooq BBC correspondent in Hyderabad An Indian movie star has been charged with assaulting an actress who refused to kiss his son in a film scene. Mohan Babu, a leading southern Indian film actor and former member of parliament, has been also booked for "wrongful confinement" and intimidation. Kissing on screen is still a taboo in India... The police said the incident took place at a studio in the southern city of Hyderabad on Tuesday evening during the filming of a Telugu-language film, Vishnu. The film is being produced by Mohan Babu to launch his son Vishnu's movie career. 'Slapped' The actress, Shilpa Shivanand, says that Mohan Babu became angry with her when she did not take part in a song sequence which involved her kissing Vishnu. Shilpa said that when she refused to do the scene again, an enraged Mohan Babu slapped her. ...but recent films are pushing the boundaries When her mother Parveen Sivanand tried to intervene, she was also allegedly beaten up. Following the assault, the actress says Mohan Babu followed them in to the make-up room and intimidated them, threatening them with legal action if she did not complete the filming. Shilpa called her sister, who was in Bombay, who in turn contacted the Hyderabad police. But when the police reached the studios it was empty. The police traced the actress and her mother to a hotel in the city and recorded their statement there. Later the actress along with her mother left for Bombay. Mohan Babu has been unavailable for comment. Kiss taboo This is not the first time that the actor finds himself on the wrong side of the law. Mohan Babu, who started his film career playing villains, has figured in several other cases of assaults and violation of laws in the past. Kissing scenes are still taboo in Indian films, with few actresses willing to commit to one on the screen. That trend is however changing, with a rash of new films exploring bolder, more sexually explicit themes.
