Uri - The Surgical Strike continues its insane run as it breaks records by margins. The fourth Saturday will go to 6 crore nett plus which easily smashes each outright Hindi film out of sight as 3 Idiots was around 3.90 crore on its fourth Saturday. So a non Bahubali - The Conclusion record is there for the fourth Saturday.

But Bahubali - The Conclusion grossed 6.20 crore nett on its fourth Saturday and Uri - The Surgical Strike could actually beat it when final collections come in the morning. The importance of this is that Bahubali - the Conclusion holds all daily records from the first Monday till the fifth Thursday. This is 32 days in a row where it has daily all time records. Now there is a chance this record run may be broken by Uri - The Surgical Strike.

Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga has faced the expected rejection at the box office. The film will grow around 40% to 4 crore nett but today this is nothing for a film opening to such low numbers. These subjects on gays and lesbians are not relatable but more on that on another day.

As mentioned earlier in a column here that the combo of Vinod Chopra Films and Anil Kapoor gave the 90's audience insomnia with Parinda (1989) and 1942 - A Love Story (1994) and things have not changed a couple of decades later. It takes really great minds to make a film on a subject that should be scrapped on paper but sadly many of these great minds actually do exist in the Hindi film industry and the other industries across India will be praying that these great minds stay put.

Well something strange happened in my theatre today in thane here where 1st time i saw people clap after show ..they never did fr any movie and i m a regular moviegoer ..hv seen almost all patriotic movies ..so i guess somewhere the movie did strike a chord with the audience and surgical strike is quite a current event happened just 2 yrs ago ..so everyone knows it fm youth to senior citizens. .thats working ..

U cant compare the genre bec 3idiots was an entertaining movie ..bahubali a historic ..and uri is patriotic ..now u cant put songs dances comedy etc of 3idiots in uri nor u can put the grandeur or vfx or huge sets of bahubali in uri ..so i guess better comparison can b with a movie like border which has one of the top 3 or top 5 highest footfalls of all time ..so it proves a good war movie can actually trend as good as a typical commertial ones like 3idiots or bahubali ..
