I saw the movie yesterday, and whether it was you or kangana who directed the movie , I say it was below average direction

There were some scenes , Eg, that maha bekaar dance number by some Ankita whoever , it felt like a c- movie

And if by any chance it was your idea to throw this c- song and dance then you suck as a director and if it was kangana's Idea then she sucks as a wannabe director

If anyone I feel for the producer who invested so much in this movie and the final result is nothing but an average to below average affair

Only thing that saves the movie is kangana spellbound act

I will deal with kangana on the review topic but I hope you better think twice before taking such huge projects

And I say it here
It needs booths hands to clap , so you better own up your mistakes Nd kangana better own up hers
No need to whine about it now

I am not excited to watch your next directed film, your 70% direction didn't do much for me

But I Sm excited to see kanganas next film as an actor , hopefully not as a director

Again you both suck in direction

Ultimately I would say its the producer's fault...What he did is unethical!

Looks like this is Kangana's not so new game plan... screw up the movie so that the only saving grace is her performance... her performance becomes outstanding when compared to the crappy movie... seeing the pattern here

The only thing that went wrong is that a fab director like him made the stupidity of choosing to work with someone like Kangana. Who in their right minds will want to work with someone like her? And if they do, they'll face the consequences of her lunacy. He's paying for it now. Oh well!

WOAH! 'Shahid' writer slams Apurva Asrani saying he had stolen his credits too!

Updated May 19, 2017 | 13:26 IST | Anindita Banerjee

Several writers are now coming out to say that writer Apurva Asrani has in many instances stolen their credits too and made it a big issue.

The Simran' controversy seems to be getting even more complicated day by day as several people in the Industry are coming up with their side of the story.

After Apurva Asrani took to Facebook and asked the director Hansal Mehta to show some spine', Mehta and also Shailesh Singh, the producer of the film, came out to slam him regarding the same.

While Twitteratti rose in support of the writer, Facebook was seeing a whole different tale. Sameer Gautam, writer of Hansal Mehta's Shahid', made similar allegations against Apurva saying he had pressurized Hansal to give him screenwriting credit for the film.

He wrote, "One day, not much later, I got to know from a team member that Apurva is insisting on a screenwriting credit for the film. Sir was happy with this cut and he then spoke to me about this. At first, I did not know what to say and then I said "No!" because I had given the film 4 years of my life with nothing but that to show for it. Apurva kept at it and refused to work any further unless he was given a Screenplay credit for Editing this 'Fresh approach/ Narrative' to the film. Hansal Sir was in a Catch 22 situation and I could see it. It was difficult for him. He did not want to lose either of us. As much as he fought for me, he finally gave in to Apurva's demands and agreed to give him the credit. Hansal Sir felt sorry towards me, but I was clear that I will not continue to work for/ with him if he has Apurva in his team from thereon. It was difficult but jo sahi hai, usmein sochna kya?(If it's right, there's nothing left to think!). I come from small town in India, that's just how we're made.

The writer wrote that he was compelled to come forward with his story after all this time because of "the sheer magnitude of (Apurva's) hypocrisy." He defended Hansal Mehta and added, "I know I am not the only one Mr. Asrani has stepped over. He is a regular offender."

Soon after this, Jaydeep Sarkar, also a script-writer, posted on Facebook saying he sees "a pattern in this and this is not the first time Apurva is doing this.

"Seeing him accuse Hansal Mehta touches a raw nerve, and compels me to talk about something similar Apurva did with a much smaller project, a short film that I directed," he wrote.

"He put up a Facebook post, calling me names. We work in an industry where our reputation is currency. Being hit where it hurts the most, without any malice from my end, was a rude shock. It was the Facebook equivalent of a gully fight, when he could have just picked up the phone and spoken to me about it. Not like I knew what else I could have done except calling the film Apurva Asrani to shine the spotlight on him. When I did confront him, he responded by deleting the post. But the damage was done," Sarkar added.

We wonder how is all this controversy is going to affect the film when it finally releases.
