Imagineme, how about we take small steps at a time
Even Semi hit seems out of reach at the moment , let's just stick with aiming for an average st least

So imagine do you think we are out of danger as far as floppy tag is concerned

And how much it has to earn for an average status

Right now our goal should be jaisse ya taisse avoid FLOPPY at any cost

Never thought I will have to see these days
Just last month I was abusing my calculator for zero and now this
Have to count each penny

Small steps 😆...

Right now, I'm more interested in Kang vs. Kang game.

Target is to beat Queen lifetime (61) by Friday. 😎

Uske baad it will officially be her second highest grosser! 😆

As for TWMR record, looks like it will need TWM3 to usurp that. Rumored to be in works.

As my son has told me I'm not the best at "mathing " 😆 so definitely check my figures but I think using these guidelines if about 50% of net collection goes to distributors and distributors have invested 65 Cr then Average verdict would need about 130 Cr net collection in India (50% of 130 =65).
Between 104 and 129cr = Below Average (50% of 104 = 80% of 65). Less than 104cr Flop

I have seen Box Office India do all kinds of twisting and turning to give a film whatever verdict they want and they seem very kind to the film so far so I seriously doubt it would need that 130 Cr to get average tag.

Naa i think you got it pretty bang on!! 👏

That's why it's puzzling me on TA, BOI's stance on this film?! They are sugarcoating everything to the best of their ability. They are treating it as though it was sold for the same amount as those medium scale movies like queen, veere di wedding, andhadhun etc. Although a female-centric, this is still a large scale film, which was rightfully sold by producers for a huge price in order to recover their investment. Are they scared of the backlash on social media for the "guy vs girl" issue?

The amount that the movie was sold for should dictate its box office narrative, not any other factors. In that context, it's doing badly. Its opening day should have been what it earned on the national holiday. It's doing Queen level business for a bajirao mastani level business potential/ expectation when it was sold.

I don't like Kangana Ranaut at all! But at least she and the investor did put themselves out there. Now whether India ain't ready for a Female driven big budget movie or is it simply a case of just being a "bad" movie is another debate!! 😆

I really hope its business doesn't scare away any investors to shy away from attempting more female-driven big budget movies in the future. Keep grinding!

One poster mentioned if it's sold for 60 then return has to be 120 to be a hit ... then why Padmavat gets BB tag with 282cr on a budget of 220cr?! .. [Anyone else is also welcome to explain if you like ..😆]

It's simple. If you look at the price at which Padmavat was sold (say 80 crore, i dont know the number.) thn 282 crore is a shitload of money against someone's 80crore investment. If you look at the budget of the movie (220 crore as per you) thn look at all of the revenue streams and not just the theatre. So it's 282 from theatres + 20 crore from Amazon etc.

Off course it is a bit more complicated thn that. Money from theatrical run is divided so its distributor shars + exhibitors + producers = 282.

Basically, eveyone should earn a profit. And since theatrical run in home country (India) determines a movie's popularity, thn distributors in India should earn a profit. So whatever price that it was sold at to distributors is thekey figure. Total budge of movie isnt as important

Atleast, it will be better than Rangoon at this point. 😆 Shamelessly finding silver lining everywhere. LOL. But, I'm honestly puzzled at this. It had good WOM, so what stopped its progress? I know it had its faults, but I have seen worse movies sail by. Though, of course, Indian Audiences have always sort of stayed away from anything independence fight related in the historical genre. And URI was huge BO beast. But even then, I'm quite puzzled to figure out the reasoning here!

And the jewelry, omg , glittering , too beautiful
I just found out the famous Neeta Lulla did her costumes
Komal Nahta did mention in his review about kanganas dresses , snd look, he was on spot

Her best looking film hands down. Her beauty is underrated and Neeta's costumes were the best. She is a fan of Neeta's elegance and Neeta told in her IV that not once did Kangana ask or question her designs. She showed so much faith in her.

Also the makeup hairstyling was great. ❤️

She fulfilled my dreams of seeing her in a costume drama.

Already seen it twice...and I liked it more the second time. Kangana's gait and fiery eyes 👏... hope she wins awards for this performance.

#Manikarnika crosses 50 cr... Despite positive feedback, the biz is clearly divided: Some circuits holding well, some aren't... Weekend 2 crucial... Fri 8.75 cr, Sat 18.10 cr, Sun 15.70 cr, Mon 5.10 cr, Tue 4.75 cr. Total: 52.40 cr. India biz. #Hindi #Tamil #Telugu

Manikarnika Holds Firm on Tuesday
Wednesday 30 January 2019 11.45 IST
Box Office India Trade Network

Manikarnika - The Queen Of Jhansi (Hindi) held firm on Tuesday with collections dropping only 5% from Monday which means that the Tuesday collections are still more than 50% of the first day. It collected 4.25 crore on Tuesday to take its five day total to 49 crore nett. The film would have been struggling if Tuesday had fallen 10-15% but this drop keeps the film in the race especially as there is limited competition in week two.

If the film can keep the drops in the 5-10% range over the next two days it would be a pretty good trend over the weekdays. The first week is looking to be 56-57 crore nett which looks decent enough but when you factor in the big Republic Day holiday the collections are on the lower side.

The film is looking to do AVERAGE business and it will the second Friday which could change this either for the better or ever for worse. The collections of Manikarnika - The Queen Of Jhansi (Hindi) are as follows.

Friday - 7,75,00,000 apprx

Saturday - 17,75,00,000 apprx

Sunday - 14,75,00,000 apprx

Monday - 4,50,00,000 apprx

Tuesday - 4,25,00,000 apprx

TOTAL - 49,00,00,000 apprx

LOL Nova called it!😆

Can the in house BO experts tell us why there is always a lower number from BOI compared to Taran's?

Is the difference the commission for Sardarji who runs BOI? 😳
