Us westerners know the Khans, Hrithik, PC, Deepu...a lot know Ranveer-Ranbir, too..and SLB-Hirani...

That's about the knowledge of a casual Westerner..and not meaning All Wetsterners, either.

** and regarding being a fan: I have a lot of friends and talk to Westerners in another movie forum.. there are many of us that are fans of Deepika there..too.

So it's not just about knowing OF her , but also liking her movies, watching them, being a fan😊

I don't think any actress of the current generation has the aura that DP carries... Alia is definitely a good actor but she doesn't have that enigma, poise and panache that actresses like Sri, Madz, Hema and now DP carries...

I didn't misread anything. I know what OUTSIDE OF INDIAN DIASPORA means. That's not the point. The point is you said that Deepika is "known" outside of India, but there's a difference between people knowing you and people being a fan of you, whether it's India or outside India.

Bollywood has a big reach in India and abroad, so the mainstream actors being known is not a big deal. People will know them, but what after that? They might love you, hate you, or not even care about you. I think KRK is also well known, but no one will call him Superstar in their right mind.😆

Aur movie forum mein fans hi milenge. If it's only about personal experience, then I don't see a single Deepika fan around me in real life.

Deepika has zero competition in stardom in India amongst actresses. And if the fact is giving some people indigestion thats another thing 😆

Just cause ten people one knows arent her fans she ain't a Superstar?

People can live in their petty delusions. Doesnt really matter. Her brand value in marketing and others speak on their own. Show me another actress with that current brand value. Those things are facts. The rest of the shit is just white noise. Fiction. Not that its gonna affect her in anyway. Her brand value sits on the throne, unbothered. 😆

Do you people lack comprehension skills or what?😆 Because I was not the one claiming on this thread that how people around me are fan of DP, hence she's a Superstar. It's MoonOrchid and some other DP fans who said that, and I said in defence that if only personal experience is a thing, then I don't see any DP fan around me. It was said as a defense that their reasoning doesn't make sense and even you agree with that.😆

If DP is a brand then it should be seen in box office collections. That's what stardom is all about. That how many people you can pull in theatres on your own. Rest such as salary, endorsements, earning etc. is just white noise like you said.

Padmaavat was sold on DP's BACK? Any proof? Because as far as I remember there wasn't much difference between salaries of DP, RS and Shahid. Of course DP got the highest pay, because she was the biggest star among the three(not anymore).😆

Brand value of star is decided by box office collections only, that's why whenever there is an argument of who is the bigger star between this and this, people bring box office. Uss time earning ya net worth ki koi baat nahi karta. Otherwise SRK is the second richest actor in the world. Does that make him the second biggest and biggest Indian Superstar? If SRK fans will claim this, then whole forum will come to mock them.😆

Aur chalo maan liya ki DP does charge a very high price, but I don't think even producers consider her a Superstar, that's why they don't cast her in movies and she's sitting jobless for "almost" what? 3 years?!?😆
