Sairat's ending was impactful because it was through the eyes of the kid, poor kiddo, no one should have to go through something like this.

I think kjo chose his ending so as that jhanvi's character would appear to be more important.

Watch Sairat. You won't regret. It's an outstanding film. Every scene is so beautiful. It has everything that a movie should have imo.

Yeah, he clearly wanted to give the most opportunity to perform in the movie. He would do the same for Alia.

They could have kept the same ending as Sairat. Just have a baby girl who would have grown to be a look alike of Jhanvi and created a sequel out of it. Daughter taking revenge for her relatives misdeeds.

Well I don't care how the sequel performs. I just wanted the ending to be same as Sairat. The baby girl is just for KJOs wish to have Jhanvi alive one way or the other.

Anything is better than the rumour that Karan was about to make it into Romeo Juliet where the leads kill themselves. 😆

On topic, liked both the endings. Death is death. People will be affected the same way irrepsective of whether it's the kid losing his parents or the girl losing her husband and child. Both ways, they lose the world they call their home.

I also like it because it gives a scope for the makers to continue the story which wouldn't be possible with the original.So hopefully utilize the opportunity.

And it was so eerie to watch the film and within just a month or two, read about the honor killing of Pranay in a similar fashionnin Andhra. And then shithole internet justifying it. 🥱

I think "Sairat's" ending was more haunting like many said! ... But it also makes sense that they kill "husband and child" to bring back their "lost puppy" on "right track"! ... So both endings are tragic in their own way!
