She doesnt have Papa Johar to give movies like KnS where despite of starwalts and family drama theme, heroine gets meaty enough role or a DZ where SRK plays a supporting character to gather distributors for the movie, make it mainstream inspite of niche theme...Sara's own father doesnt seem invested in her career and proclaimed 2nd wife & son closest to his heart on a public platform..she will have to make do with the itsy bitsy roles along with 2-3 characters of depth which might come once in a while...Deepika had CCTC as her 3rd movie..not even her fans remember that movie now..but bagging a film with Akki at initial stage did help her back THEN

Similarly waiting for Sara to blossom to her full potential.

Sara is like those 5 year old girls who tries to copy their favourite actresses. She is so irritating both offscreen and onscreen.

Chartbuster song of 500 m even Vaani Kapoor has...what good has it done to her career ? There needs to be a good balance which Sara got from her both films.

I am not discrediting Kedarnath either.

If that's the case, then Kala Chasma was a chart buster... but failed at the box office. In Simmba, SAK was barely memorable. Madhuri has had many hit songs but her roles in films were always substantial. Anjaam she played a great role (Chene ke khet is still a chartbuster). Aankh Mareer is a remix of a song. It won't hold big as the original one.

If one wants to succeed as an actor they should have "good acting chops" backed by "good acting projects" .. Chartbuster songs are like "cherry on the cake" .. but without cake, cherry can't do much! ... Katrina's example is a bad one since when it comes to acting she's never picked as an "actor" ... so hit songs can only take so far! .. Sonakshi is another one .. kept doing "flower pot roles" very "proudly" and now no where to be seen! .. Kedarnath has done a lot more for Sara as far as "acting" is concerned ... For Simmba her role has become a laughing stock fosho!
