Being sexist is not just about that. I don't think ranveer is a mcp husband either. But there r subtle n subconscious misogyny. That the person doing it may not even realize. Pretty sure he wouldn't force her to sit at home like Amitabh did to Jaya. But my problem is the way RS n other actors make it seem like only gharelu caring women make great wives. It can be indirect like RS n direct like Tiger Shrogf. I don't like the mentality. To me it's like if a girl said he earns so much each month I love it, I can spend so much money due to his salary I love it.

It's a fustrating feeling bcz we as girls HV to hear it from locality ke uncle aunty n many guys. Then to hear it from a public person who likes to HV a woke image. Not just rs all celebs r like that

You don't find it demeaning but I do. Opinion differs. End of story 😆 I will criticise what I don't like n u will not criticise if u u don't feel the same way about it.

Oh n Noone said the word is demeaning. It'ssociety's mentality to think gharelu=good wife that is demeaning n problematic. That that is the main thing guys want in their women n love the most.

Also in middle-class people gharelu basically means this girl won't do a job after marriage. N often u hear people selecting a girl cz she's gharelu will take care of in laws not demand ki I want to do a job too . It has opressive undertones. RS doesn't use it in this blatant sexist way though, that I agree

But he didn't say that being gharelu only makes a women a great wife, he didnt say that anywhere, rs has married Deepika Padukone, she is the number 1 actress, while they were dating dp had back to back hits and she went to Hollywood and spent 2 Years on xXx, so Ranveer is not expecting her to sit at home and serve him at all, he has said mamytimes s Deepika is independent, she is more disciplined than him, all he meant by gharelu is that dp enjoys doing house work

Yes😊 likewise someone can boast I earn a lot. But if their partner boasts that why I love him or her that's eeky

I think u r not understanding what I'm trying to say. Let's leave it there. I HV problem with guys saying they love how their wives do the house work. Makes them look like guys who can't handle their own stuff n think their wife should do it. Leave it u HV your opinion .
