Finally watched it last Sunday in a complete housefull theatre ,5.15pm show and its a complete paisa vasool movie .. total mind isss blowing types 😎..
Rohit as a director knows the pulse of his audience better than anyone else today ..Whether its that ala re ala simmba ala background music aura that he creates throughout the movie especially in 2nd half when 1st time Simmba wears the police uniform and comes out of this cabin with that haunting music in background giving u goosebumps or whether its the whole fake encounter scenario that Simmba creates with the help of his other officers and those women which makes every audience clap in theatre because who dont like to watch good winning over evil that too in such a smart and slick manner without going OTT or whether its Ajay's entry sequence in climax followed by both Simmba and Singham walking together victorious after the court verdict ,Rohit surely knows how to get those whistles and claps in theatre 👏 ..He has mastered that art of making these typical commertial mass entertainers like nobody else..Best part is even the class is enjoying it because of the finess in his direction and also some top notch acting by Ranveer as well as the entire supporting cast 👍🏼
3 main factors worked for the movie ..
1) Ranveer's Performance ..He was indeed the backbone of the movie and his transformation from a corrupt cop in 1st half who at times makes u laugh and same time makes u cringe too with his certain actions to a honest responsible one in 2nd half who at times makes u cry and same time makes u clap and whistle too with his smart plan of actions has been flawlessly portrayed by the man ..He was simply flawless 👏..That scene just before the interval when he goes through his realisation phase in hospital after the death of his muhboli sister shows the range of his acting calibre ..It was complete silent acting and he was fab there ⭐️..
2)Supporting Cast was equally fab and what I loved about the supporting cast was how every character was so well defined ..Just because Sonu Sood(Durva Ranade) is a villain does not mean he will not hv a family or he wont hv his emotions ..Even a bad guy has a family and his own set of emotions which we saw in climax when he asked his lawyer not to question his mother and accepted the crime committed by his brothers , thats where he touched a chord with the class audience as well .. Also I loved Ashutosh Rana's character and his individual track with his family--what a typical middle class family goes through when the head of the family is bit too honest and is not ready to bend down to the needs of daily life is realistically shown here .. And then Simba's love-hate bond with Ashutosh's character was one of the highlight of the movie .. Saraa's character was limited mainly to the first half but it also contributed to the overall movie as I found Simmba-Shagun love story quite sweet ..Wish she had a bigger role in 2nd half though ..
3)Dialogues .. When u r making a massy entertainer , dialogues play a major role and this is where Simmba hits the jackpot .. Every dialogue is whistleworthy ..The whole marathi-english-hindi combo works really well here and Ranveer nailed the marathi accent .. When It makes u laugh and clap same time , u know u hv a winner in your hand ..
Overall I really enjoyed the movie .. Not a single dull moment .. I enjoyed it more than Singham or Golmaal series mayb because it had a heart and emotional connect too ..
Last but not the least ..Songs like Ankh mare , mera wala dance , simba teri phirki and tere bin nai lagta sounds awesome on big screen .. they r picturised well too ..
So overall Simmba movie works like a all rounder .. Every department has been taken care of and director knew what he is making .. He never looked confused or lost right from the word go ..
