I think reduced ticket prices are not that big of an attraction because movie goers still go out in big numbers if the tickets are expensive. I don't think many people really minded that. But it does affect the collections significantly.

Finally got to watch it.
Simmba is entertaining! Total paisa vasool.

I liked the second half better. The transformation into the serious zone was amazing and Veer's expressions were spot on.
The bg music was foot tapping and the scene where he beats up the goons was seeti-maar paisa vasool 😆

This is the first time I spent money to watch a Rohit Shetty movie in a movie theater, all credit to Ranveer 😆

People have already posted reviews and I'm probably one of the last ones to post here about the movie.

I also liked the Simmba Singham music and action scenes.

Also liked Sonu Sood immensely for giving a subtle performance - he did not go OTT and exuded the right amount of the villain essence...he has a towering screen presence and I wish he got more good roles in BW.
He was good in his miniscule role in Jodha Akhbar as well.

And , I really liked Ashutosh Rana's performance. He was really good in his positive role. Again, no OTT acting, which I really liked.

Ranveer's marathi is 👏
I did find some of the comedy a bit unnecessary. I guess that's the norm of Rohit Shetty movies.

I remember members here mocking Veer's physical appearance, his "lack of energy in the Aankh maare song, lack of chemistry between Sara and him, etc etc.
In the movie I did not see any of these things people were complaining about.
He looked every bit a cop in the movie, I did not see any lack of energy, nor did he look weird, and, Sara and he looked fine together.

He nailed this role and for the first time in ages I actually enjoyed a typical Bollywood cop movie (with a cliched storyline) 😆 Pure entertainment.

My first review thread 😉

I watched Simmba couple days ago. When I was trying to get tickets, it was sold out in the theater near me (which is 2 mins away). I found seats in the theater playing 20-25 miles away from my place (good 40 mins drive in traffic). I decided to get 2, for me and my brother. While driving there, I was telling my brother, I feel stupid to drive far to go watch this movie. I could've probably waited couple days and watched it in the nearby theater. But, let me tell you it was so WORTH it, and didn't regret driving that far to watch it.

Take a bow, RANVEER SINGH 👏. He was so amazing in his role that I thought he was the real Simmba 😆. He has consistently proven what an amazing performer he is, and with Simmba's box office, he's proven that he can carry a movie entirely on his own. What a year for him 🥳

Storyline is "simple" and I also like the message that it tried to give. Comedy, Action, Emotion, everything was amazing. Personally, liked 2nd half more than 1st half 😊

Simmba had another solid hold on the last day of the week as the film collected 11.50 crore nett which took the film to a huge 150 crore nett plus total. It is the second highest first week after Sanju which grossed a huge 200 crore nett in week one. .

The film has done excellent business all over barring Tamil Nadu / Kerala which hardly matters. Bihar is a little low for this type of film but sill it has good collections in the circuit. The crucial areas were North India in the long run and those have sustained well from a pretty good start. Both Delhi / UP and East Punjab were doing as well as Mumbai post the holiday period. Maharashtra is extraordinary as Mumbai circuit has collected 55 crore nett apprx.

The key will be the Thursday - Friday drop and if it can hold really well then this film can even go to 250 crore nett plus.

saw it and I loved it. Ranveer was fantastic in the comedy scenes. Ashutosh rana was a cutie in this one and loved his wife and daughter. the second half was beautiful ...it kept nagging on capturing the conscience of the audience as well , not just the hero's and helped that conscience and the duty held towards that conscience in taking the right step, rise. I wish akruti had gone with the police forces towards the den and didnt go there alone out of impulse with the kid..also , what exactly happened to chotu? he was lost but what happened to him? overall, loved it.sara has a very strong screen presence.<3
