Simmba Is Super Strong On Wednesday

Simmba had a super strong hold on Wednesday with collections in the 14 crore nett range. The film is back to normal ticket rating, in fact they are a little cheaper due to a reduction of GST though NETT pricing is normal. The fall in collections from day one is just 30% and this is day six after a holiday period..

The film is a SUPER HIT and Friday will tell if the film has a chance of becoming a BLOCKBUSTER film and the third biggest HIT of 2018. The plus for the film is thats it doing well across the country (barring Tamil Nadu / Kerala). A circuit like West Bengal which under performs for this genre is at 7.25 crore nett in six days and crossed Baaghi 2 already. It is doing better than Bihar which is expected to be best out of the East India markets for this genre due to the single screens.

The collections are now over 138 crore nett and the film should get near the 150 crore nett mark in the first week which will be the second best first week of 2018 and the 11th best of all time. The collections of Simmba till date are as follows.

Friday - 20,50,00,000 apprx

Saturday - 23,75,00,000 apprx.

Sunday - 31,00,00,000 apprx

Monday - 21,50,00,000 apprx

Tuesday - 28,00,00,000 apprx

Wednesday - 14,00,00,000 apprx

TOTAL - 1,38,75,00,000 apprx

This is what I was afraid of-the new GST and reduced ticket rate straight after the end of the holiday period...

It IS affecting the movie's takings... maybe by just 2-3 crores.. but still,... you do that 10 days.. it's a big difference.

Why does Ranveer has to have always troubles on his releases, when his movies are so good? Lol, Padmaavat was same with protesters and 4 states not opening ( loss of 50 cr).. Bajirao was protest and clash with Dilwa ( loss of 40 cr at least)... Ram Leela had protests ( loss of 20cr or so).

Glad Ranveer keeps positive.. Seems there's a lot of effort to drag his movies down (even now BOI reports are 8-10cr lower than other places,and at least 4-5 cr lower than Taran's..up until yesterday..) Bless Ranveer, he must have some good karma that makes him succeed , despite these people trying to fudge his numbers and steal his movies.. or whatever..lol.#

Ranveer better win at Berlinale something, with Gully 😊.. I really think he might !!

#Simmba Steady hold on Day 7... Film had Opened to 20-22% on Day 7 In morning Shows... This is similar to Day 6 which was 25% in morning Shows... Film will head to 11 Crore... If Afternoon & Evening shows perform better then 13 Cr...! Early estimates for Day 6 is 14-15 Crore

Thats why he is lambi race ka ghoda .. his last movie padmavat went almost close to 300 crores despite banned in few states .. we might give tons of excuses about the whole opposition coming from fringe grps etc etc but fact is nothing will work if the movie is rejected by viewers in its 1st week .. so all this should not bother ..

Coming to simbaa , the movie has amazing word of mouth .. i just got ticket for this coming sunday .. they r running almost same number of shows in 2nd week too ..almost 30 shows per day .. and tickets r selling like hot cakes .. this movie will go long...mark my words .. so even with low gst rates , the collections in long run will b good ..

BOI and Taran figures so far r same now .. taran is 139.03 crore and box office gave approx 138.7 crore .. not much of a diff .. I m glad producers r giving accurate figures with even the breakdown of every state .. nothing can b more transparent than this ..

but then the reduced ticket prices will draw in more people to watch it. I think reduced prices benefits the film.

yup they have been very transparent. So happy for the team. the shows are sold out overseas too.. 😃😃
