yep he said in a recent interview that before he wud say yes to any film coz he just wanted to get work, and it was his core team, most likely yrf, that was advising him to do those initial films, but now ranveer is taking things into his own hands and he said the story and script are the most important for him, and he wants to do films that he feels will get the audience to the cinema halls coz he knows how much people hav to pay out of their own pocket just to see a film, he wants the film to be worth their money

we can even see the change as before it was mostly yrf films, and now he isn't doing a yrf film in his current line up
