He's a character actor. He hasn't been a superstar since the 80s. 😆 His performances, sure have been exceptional but we're talking about box office here.

SRK can and shoulf move onto the Bachchans, Rishi/Anil Kapoor space too.

He had a good run, made enough money. He should stop chasing BO, make a small budget movie with a good script..and then see the results.

Ajay Devgan and Aamir have no qualms playing fatherly roles to teenagers and they have been trying different genres since forever. Srk is trying to do 'earthy' type movies but the character is still Raj/Rahul types, whats the point? Reinvention means total like Aamir in Dangal, he cannot bring himself to do it

Salman still i feel if he plays an ageing action hero can survive as there is still acceptance, eg. movies like Sultan, Bajrangi but he is going in some other zone lol.

I guess every actor goes through this phase where they can't let go of that image that brought them so much of love and appreciation. They keep thinking that if they try harder its gonna click again. Eventually SRK will move on when such scripts stop coming to him. I guess he needs to fail to change. Most get the hint after a point. I m hoping he will too.

I think that SRK still has much to contribute to bollywood. I hope he realizes though that the current roles don''t suit him anymore.

I would love to see him in content driven movies or mature love stories. Hopefully he too realizes and moves on.

But I truly and honestly think that he still cannot be written off, just as yet.

In this interview with AB Snr if you skip you 2:46 he talks about how if he walked into a restaurant in the 70s and 80s people would look at him but now when he does nobody looks. But if Aamir, Salman or SRK walked into a restaurant people would look at them. What I took from that was there will come a time where the hype around the Khans will die down. AB came back strong because he was willing to play age appropriate roles.
