Its too early to declare a failure IMO...

But in general...

Khans needs to play age appropriate roles.

It's the friction before they actually accept and play such roles. Rishi, Anil kapoor, Vinod Khanna, Dharmendra all went through this phase.

audience prefer RS, RK, RKR, AK, VD movies over those grand budget , Khans movies...

Agree. SRK should not produce movies. That will give unnecessary budget. Directors will focus more on VFX than the story. He will finance it without questioning the need. At the end, film will turn out to be a high budget crap.

Worst one was Ra 1. It happened because SRK financed.

I think the astronaut movie would be a good one. I would see it. Because SRK can do well when he plays roles that do not display his herogiri such as Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa, Darr, Baazigar, Swades, Chak De...no hero giri here.

Same thing that happened to Anurag Kashyap's Bombay Velvet. You take a good director with a certain sensibility and throw in big commercial stars for no rhyme or reason, you get a flop.
