Shraddha Kapoor on settling down: You need time to nurture a relations

Shraddha Kapoor plays the girl-next-door in
her next titled Batti Gul Meter Chalu. The
social drama which also stars Shahid
Kapoor, Yami Gautam and Divyendu Sharma
chronicle the struggles that come with hefty
electricity bills and the fight for justice.
Shahid plays the role of a lawyer for the first
time in his career while Shraddha will be
seen as his love interest and his voice of
reason. Shraddha and Shahid reunite on-
screen after starring in Haider (21014),
helmed by Vishal Bhardwaj.
During a media interaction, Shraddha was
asked about her character and the actress
had shared, "Lalita Nautiyal is someone who
has a very strong conscious. She will also
look for a guy herself to get married to. Even
before her mom and her dadi want her to
get married. She's like, 'You'll not look for
me, I have to look for it myself.' She is quite
one of a kind."

The question was then directed at Shraddha
as to if just like her character, she too is
looking to get married and settling down.
On this, Shraddha revealed, "I am not
looking right now. There is no time to look
also. (laughs) You need time to nurture a
relationship. So, no, there is no time right
now."
When asked about any similarities between
her character and herself, Shraddha shared
that the two are pretty different but share
the same quality of a good conscience.
Speaking of Batti Gul Meter Chalu, the movie
is slated to release on September 21, 2018,
and is directed by Toilet: Ek Prem Katha
director Shree Narayan Singh.
