Rani has aged badly and has a tacky sense of style. She was pretty in her own way in her prime.

Alia is only 25 and is very baby-faced. Obviously she can't do sexy stuff right now because she just looks too young. Give her 5 years and she will look more mature and able to pull off more types of roles.

Both Aloo and Rani are cute, look loads better with makeup like most of us and both are terrific actors especially when tailor made roles are given to them. Both are ambitious and hardworking. Without nepotism and godfathers though, they would also not even have behenji roles in TV despite their talent. I see more similarities than differences though they are a generation apart.

With that said, most actresses can't pull off the innocence she can right now. Everyone has their own strong points and things that suit them.

I don't think Alia will ever be able to play sexy or sensuous roles. At 25 she's already got wrinkles so by the time she hits 30 she's gunna look pretty aged. That's the downside of being babyfaced. plus she doesn't have the body shape for it.

Rani was around 25 during that song. DP, PC were in their mid 20s during their hottest roles.
Now they have slowly started losing their looks, which is a completely normal aging process. But even pc and DP will never look like they did during aitraaz, dostana, cocktail, Ramleela etc.

Rani was one of the most attractive actresses back in early 2000s imo.

As for Alia She has always been considered cute instead of a pretty face.

Well Rani literally had to struggle to be successful..she did some bgrade films with Bobby deol and Govinda ..aloo gets everything on the platter..I don't understand how nepotism applies to Rani 🤢

IDK what kind of statement Rani is trying to make with the pink outfit, but she is wearing Rani Pink and a Rani Haar.
