No Govinda was a far natural and better actor than Varun, and also Govinda was a much better comedian and dancer.

As for Varun, he has his limited actor. Not a even a good one, just an average and limited. But the good thing about him is, when under a decent script and direction, he does a competent job like he did Badri or Badlapur or even does a great job like we saw in October. But as an actor on point, he is weak. And definitely the weakest of the other young potential superstars(the likes of Ranbir, SSR, Ranveer and co) barring Tiger, who is basically bad.

About voice modulation almost all the today male and female actors are bad. Their voice and expression when it comes to emotions do not match.

Varun is average , he has his comfort zone but he did a really good job in Badlapur which wasn't a basic rom-com like his other movies so I approve him.
