I agree with his caste part...there is always a news in some part of india where someone get killed or injured for marrying or falling in love with diff caste/religion.

yes, it is, but its not restricted to India only... there are other parts of the world, where honor killing is much more prevalent... so its more of a world issue... and though few politicians support it... It does not happen with the Governments support...

Depends on what power and connections the person criticising the government has.. some get killed, some get arrested and thrown in jail on false charges. Of course, nothing will happen to someone as privileged as Saif.

But saif or me or any other citizen can only talk about his/her country which he is familiar with ...how can he talk about countries . As far as politicians are concerned ...let's not get into that argument , there is a very popular saying keeping quiet is equal to saying yes or supporting it .

Okay, I accept your argument...about the caste thing...

but dont you think he is exaggerating it, by implying that he will get killed for saying anything Anti Indian Government ?... Esp since he is a celeb...

I feel all celebs have this responsibility that they shud adhere to while speaking cause lots of people follow them... he couldve said or worded it differently...

and if we connect it to the complaints against 'Sacred Games', then there its not even the government protesting... its the opposition party who did that... so I dont understand why he wud blame the government...

I don't agree with other half of what he said in bolded part that's why i didn't comment . as far as celebs saying something , i have always believed that they do/say something which is of some profit to themselves ( publicity , news , promotion etc etc ) so i don't take them seriously .
