Indian population is mostly young now and most want to see young actors at the top.ranbir /ranveer are not that young but they are younger than Salman and amir. Maybe religion also plays a part in this? Its weird that 3 biggest stars from last 20 years is from minority communities.

The problem here is with the term "Khans". The name doesn't make sense, but media has given them this name, and "Khans" are using it as an advantage for three decades now. If the movies of two among the trio are not working, and the third one is hitting jackpot at the box office, then this term helps them in keeping them relevant, by comparing the box office collections of each other's movies. It also makes them seem more powerful as a star, but if we rate them individually, they are not so powerful.

We keep on hearing that Khans are ruling Bollywood since the 90s. But Khans were not the most popular actors in 90s, despite some of their movies becoming the biggest Hits. SRK, Salman and Aamir's stardom in 90s was like Hrithik, Akshay and Ajay's stardom in 00s and present decade. They were Superstars but not the biggest.

Then SRK came at the top in the previous decade. Salman and Aamir(until Ghajini) were not even in the competition. Hrithik was competing and being a threat to SRK, and Akki was also doing relatively better.

Until Ghajini and Dabangg, Salman and Aamir were never considered the #1 stars at the box office. Now when they are at the top in this decade(though who is at the top between Aamir and Salman is debatable), and SRK is far behind, still people tag them as "Khans"(not talking about social media or this forum but general public).

Now who are not a fan of these three actors or don't like them, are irritated with this Khan chant going on for three decades, and want them to be replaced by a new face. Fans also play a role in this who keep on bragging about their stardom.

This misconception of "Khans ruling for three decades", is the reason why people are hell bent on replacing them, and want them to retire. Though age also plays a role in it. Salman and Aamir are ruling Bollywood when Superstars tend to retire and take on mature roles, because audience gets bored of them and they lose their superstardom.

Even SRK, who has became a flop and irrelevant according to this forum, is doing much better than Big B when he was 50 years old. Akki and Ajay are also of the same age and are still not bigger stars than SRK, but no one wants them to retire, because no one cares about them as they are not at the top and their Surname is not Khan.

Media and online platforms has also made it easy for older Superstars in keeping them relevant, even if their movies are not working. Just like it has made it more difficult for the new generation to become Superstars.

There is no reason for Khans or any other actor to retire or take mature roles until they are bankable at the box office. SRK is bankable, and so are Akshay and Ajay. Seeing the present scenario, no way Khans(including SRK) are going to take character roles until they are 60, irrespective of their box office status.

Ranbir fans are using this hit to take on ranveer fans ,katrina fans and salman khan fans as they had nothing to show for in last few disasters.

Ranveer fans are counter attcaking in reverse.

Srk fans are confused as they supportrd Ranbir , but now his fans proclaiming the end of Khans ,which directly means the end of srk since he is the lowest rank Khan currently.

Salman fans taking on ranbir fans but indirectly taking srk fans who wants to show salman box office is as disastrous as srk.

Ajay and akshay fans dont care coz they happy at destruction of Khans but not happy with replacing old stars bandwagon.

In between there are some who is saying hirani is a good pr agent better than reshma shetty , and a alone dutt fan is saying all of them are haters.

Equation would change with gully boy and zero release.

But not with thugs of Hindustan as amir is above all this as his tears keeps him way above the sea level.

Good Lord Piya, are you always this misinformed and critical of people?? Hilarious you take it as an attack on Ranbir? Go and find one post before Sanju released where I prayed for its bad business?
