Jesus christ. Are you that stupid? People who work in production staff barely knowns as superstars. Yeah - he might have gotten connections through production staff, but barely handed films like Alia, Sara, Jhanvi, Sonam, Ranbir, Ranveer, Arjun, Kareena, Abhishek... the list is endless.

No, he was not. Why do u think Kareena walked off within 10 days? Bcoz her mother wanted her to debut with a Bachchan and not some Roshan. Star directors back then were Kjo, Yash Chopra, Soorat Bhartjiya and Adi. Rakesh Roshan was a Good director but he gave flops with Stars like SRK n Anil Kapoor.

When Kaho Na Pyar Hai released, nobody even had a inkling that he had a son or who he was. When Bobby Deol n Twinkle Khanna were launched, there used to massive TV premieres and Parties on TV. 2000 was the year when Kareena Kapoor and Abhishek Bachchan Big debut was going to come. Hrithik was actually just another newcomer for both public and media. His interviews used to come in the corner of papers.

But, wat happened in theatre was a Miracle. Even he told that he had gone with the crowd and people were like "u are the actor" etc. Nobody was in Awe of him. But, by interval, they started crowding around him.

Rakesh Roshan got recognition, name, respect and even his first filmfare award from KNPH. He is always known as Hrithik's father. Ranbir is known as Rishi Kapoor's son. That is the difference.

He became a Star Director after KNPH, KMG, Krrish and Krrish 3. Bcoz he had a Talented Actor-Son like Hrithik and they cud take risks like Mentally challenged hero, Alien, Sci Fi and Superhero etc. Anil Kapoor himself said that if Hrithik was not as Talented n the way he was, Rakesh Roshan wud never hv taken the risk of even attempting such genres.

Star kids eg Jahnavi. While watching Sairat with her mom, they discuss how it would be great to debut in Hindi remake. Lo and behold, KJo makes a remake and casts her immediately.😆

I didn't know Kareena was suppose to debut with Hrithik. I love their pairing so that would have been awesome but I guess it worked out for the best. They both got to steal the attention in their separate debuts.

I remember before watching KNPH my relatives were hyping Hrithik up since they had watched it and going on about how tall, handsome and a great dancer he is. Nobody mentioned his father and back then I didn't care about directors because I was a child. I think it was only after Krrish where I found out his father directs some of his movies 😆 And when Ranbir debuted those same relatives were hyping him up because of Rishi so clearly they didn't think Rakesh was important.

He's an insider - not a star kid. I don't think he's had any real benefits of being one.
Deepika didn't want to work with him in Padmavat and asked SLB to replace him as Raja Rawal Singh. Life is so funny. Now, Raazi and Sanju have made more impact than Padmavat.

Probably because he doesn't have a father making films for him or a godfather creating opportunities for him. Nor is he being offered one big film after another despite a disastrous debut. On the other hand, he had a brilliant debut in Masaan, has got good reviews for almost every film of his and has now finally made a huge impact in two hit films where he was only playing a supporting character (despite the main leads getting great reviews themselves).
P. S. I personally have no issues with talented star kids anyway and here Vicky is not even a star kid per se 😆

I remember reading something similar about Vicky Kaushal a long ago in this forum. 😆
Who cares...He is brilliant as eff. He has been superb in even mediocre movies like Raman Raghav. So I don't mind watching him in movies anyway. 😆

Do you have a reliable source to back this up? You know the tabloids make up stuff right? They didn't even have any respect for Irrfan's cancer and used that to make up some nonsense story.

I am just glad to see Vicky Kaushal getting his due!! I thought he was good in Masaan when i saw it, and i'd hoped we saw him again, and he has done some other less known movies and also netflix projects but now seeing his two movies out and getting people noticed and giving praise to him and his acting is great to see. 👏
