There's a new couple in B-town!

Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt have been surprisingly open with their proclamation of their affection for each other, over the past few months. It's no secret that Alia has always had a massive crush on Ranbir, even before she joined Bollywood.

And recently, Ranbir admitted in an albeit indirect way that the two were seeing each other, and it was "too new" to talk about right now. Alia and mom Neetu Kapoor have also been bonding quite well.

A source close to Ranbir revealed that he had confessed to his former girlfriend, Deepika Padukone, before making it official with Alia.

Incidentally, Deepika is also close friends with Alia.

A common friend told a website, "RK and Deepika continue to be close friends, and keep each other's secrets. He told her about it and she was very happy for him and Alia. It's rare to find such friendship between exes."

In an interview with India Today Television last month, Alia called Ranbir her "biggest crush of all time".

Asked how she deals with the link-up rumours, she said, "I don't have to deal with them, because if it's true, it's true. And if it's false, it's false. Let's just say everything is not because of a movie and everything is not for publicity."

Ranbir and Alia have already finished shooting for the first schedule of Brahmastra in Bulgaria. Brahmastra, which also stars Amitabh Bachchan and Mouni Roy, is being made as a fantasy trilogy, the first installment of which is slated to release in 2019.
