Its strange that while most Salman fans mock Shah Rukh for his movies, his looks etc still they cant stop themselves from comparing every thing of Salman with him.

As has been posted so many times here on IF that SRK does not matter anymore and his days are over but still whenever a Salman movie flops or does poorly the immediate comparison is made with SRK movie? Why, is SRK the benchmark for Salman fans? If so then how is he irrelevant then? He gets a superior status than Salman because his status is always compared with Salman to make him feel good.

Be it Tubelight, Jai Ho and now below expected performance of Race3, all compared with SRK flops, how does that help? When its boasted that Bhai movie does 300-400 cr collections then anything below half of it is shameful for him.

All this shows that there is nothing like blockbuster status and NO hard core fan is going to pay for crap again and again. There will be a time when the most hard core fan will STOP. Salman better stop doing crappy movies or he will soon get blockbuster FLOP status.


Its time to stop paying undue adulation to stars and look for entertainment/ content.

Don't forget race franchise... that boosted it too... if we take eid and race franchise out then this film would have collected 100 cr or so in lifetime.

Probably. I gather that you are trying to prove salman tobe better than someone else. My pointb is only on the movie and I m not interested in putting someone down to prove someone else better.

It doesn't make any sense to compare one superstar with another superstar based on a movie that's of completely different genre.

Salman is a mega superstar without a doubt and movie of that kind (action, mass dialogues etc.) with high production values is expected to open big. Without eid and race franchise, it would have probably done 60+cr over weekend and crawled to 100 cr with poor wom.

Remember Bang Bang? Trailers and teasers attracted lot of attention but movie was not good and yet it did 150+ cr with a clash.
