Bullshit. It's the celeb manager/agency who decide the price for their celebs. Reshma takes 30% of her clients' income, and according to rumors, Dhama also takes 30% from whatever Dharma kids earn. So Dharma kids take home only 40% of their income. The more they would charge, the more Reshma and Kjo would make from them. Obviously Reshma would like to hike it after every hit of her. The problem here is Alia only works with Dharma.. so asking more from Kjo would be like kulhadi pe paed maarna. I guess the other day Jha Uncle read our discussion.. how come Sonakshi charges 5cr from a Dharma movie, but Alia charges only 7-8cr? So, to save her face Jha Uncle wrote this article.

In Alia's defense she did say in this interview that she's at an age where she's happy with what she earns, doesn't look at her account and her mother handles her finances so she knows it's safe. She might see the amount in a movie contract but these people are so rich they don't need to know exact amounts sitting in their accounts.

Haha I know. I m not blaming him. I m just saying Alia is no doodh peeti bholi bhali bachhi as they make her to be. She very well knows what to ask and from whom. She is not gonna piss off her producer who is practically responsible for her career reaching heights today. She would rather sign up more endorsements and compensate for her lower pay cheques in movies. Nobody survives being dumb here. Its all pretence 😆

She asked for a raise after Highway. Varun said so in an interview. But i agree that when you work with one production house you can't get many raises. You get 3 movie contracts which prevents that.

Alia is very smart - she will build her number of hits with KJO's backing and in the next year or two she knows she will be able to demand a high price., age is anyway on her side so she need not be in a big hurry. No one works for less price but if you are guaranteed that someone will lobby his heart out for you, what else do you need to go up and up. She has every gifted director in her pocket due to Papa KJO.

Yet KJO doesn't give muft ka gyaan - he needs Alia right now. After finding a bankable heroine who can act and is a hit with the masses and Varia jodi, he will not want to lose her, at least till he doesn't find someone who is as dependable. Honestly I think he believes he has the better end of the bargain but she will come out on top.

One can hike the price before the end of his/her contract. Well, that's what I learned from reading about old HW celebs. BW mein kya hota hai kisko pata? But she's definitely not asking for a raise because she doesn't want to make the same mistake as Kareena did.
